The factory should have picked Martin up first, instead of what’s his name. Martin is a fighter, and a winner. He seems solid with his team, I think he has a genuine shot at the title this year.

Nope, you like a lot of people miss the point. A team never picks 2 riders that will compete head on for the world championship. The heat would be too high and can cause the team big time. Not to mention it's harder to afford both of the top guns. So one plays at the front while the other assists him but if both are fighting for dominance nobody will support the other. Much like in F1 red bull won't sign Lewis along with Max. And merc never thought of signing max along lewis in their years of dominance.

Acosta is on a slow bike compared to the Ducati and the competition is way better today . But yes that is a fact MM was a champion. I Don’t think it’s wrong to compare the two. I think it’s fair . It hard to compare eras because there are so many different factors that come into play.
