I'm sure this is a weird comment to leave, but finding this made my evening. I spent a long time playing this game as a kid, and the sheer burst of nostalgia from listening to all these tracks I assumed were lost to the ages made me feel great. However much time you spent making and uploading this, I hope it was worth it just for making one guy's evening a lot better. Tracks #2 and #20 are my favorites.

I was watching a different video. Heard a snippet of the song at 48:00, and I knew I remembered it. I couldn't remember where from. Then it hit me. Images of ramps, boxing gloves, bowling balls, nitro glycerin. Then it all came back listening to the rest of the songs. An amazing soundtrack for an equally great game.

This whole OST is great. I love how the some of the tracks are stylistic homages to other musicians. Unplugged kinda sounds like John Mellencamp (Crumblin' Down) mixed with Lynyrd Skynyrd. New Age sounds like something David Gilmour would do in the Division Bell. Hay Seed sounds like Charlie Daniels. Mellow Jazz could be something out of Culture Club World Beat is a genre-based song, but could also be something Peter Gabriel would do. Hip Hop sounds like Eminem. For kids. Tuna Loaf should be obvious. New Wave is genre-based, but sounds closest to Gary Numan. Could also be Oingo Boingo 60's rock, genre based again, sounds closest to The Doors. Progressive rock, once again genre based, sounds most like Europe with that synth. Reggae, genre based, gives me vibes closest to Big Mountain, to be honest. Truckin' sounds like Huey Lewis and the News a little bit, mixed with some Steward Copeland Spyro music vibes. Did I miss any others?

I'm torn. On the one hand, this game (and the previous Contraptions) had new music in comparison to TIM 3. On the other hand, all the old tracks went through some incredibly trashy "loudness war" compression -- and my favorite track suffered the most from it. Oh, Techno Rave, what did they DO to you? :( It's not just a KZbin thing, either -- KZbin vids of the TIM3 version of that track sound better than it did in TIM:EMC IN THE GAME! But the new music is great -- World Beat, Spooky, etc... and thanks for the upload, no one else seems to have the EMC-only songs on KZbin.

late response but, agreed, the quality loss is an issue, and as they carry the songs from version to version the damage just stacks.

I went to a single track OST video to leave a comment and know what you are talking about, it’s a tragedy that is the only experience some players know. That isn’t loudness war compression, it’s sloppy compression.

I find it quite weird that I thought about the music from this game and searched it on youtube and then I found this video that was uploaded 3 weeks ago. What if I thought about this game 1 month ago? I would have found nothing at all and I would have thought that nobody gives a shit about this game. Having it hard coded into my brain I wouldnt bother searching for it at all. This kind of thing keeps happening to me very often for example discovering new great random songs that were uploaded like 1-5 days ago. Had I searched for them a few days before I would have never discovered a new great, inspiring artist. Love the songs from old games that had midi songs. Examples are Tetris 4000(allthough they are only covers of famous songs), Sammy Suricate, Monkey Brains, Greenface and lots more. Also the Sims 1 had great new age music(not midi) The only bad part is that you didnt include any photo, even the cover of the game. But still good. 4:52 - 03. New Age - has been playing in my mind for these 15 years then i skipped to 29:52 - 13. 1959 Prom - HOLY SHIT that eargasm :D 32:25 - 14. Hip Hop - really sick groove
