I have a confession to make after 30+ years - in high school, I wrote a story called 'A Night In The Woods' and got an A+ for it - the weekend before I wrote the story I had watched The Evil Dead on VHS and just wrote from memory LOL Sorry Mr Robinson LOL

I think the most important thing you get from this is the sheer childlike enthusiasm Raimi projects from making movies. And the magic is he still gives off that energy.

I loves the way Sam Raimi praised Mr Campbell's good looking. Actually Sam Raimi also good looking and cute but God meet him and be friend with someone who more handsome than him. That's why you in position as director and Mr Campbell as actor. Both of you make successful in cinema and proud to yourself.....

This is so inspirational damn it I want to make movies. Sam seems like such a nice guy. I wonder if the years have changed him?

By all accounts, he's the same kind, polite gentleman he's always been, albeit a bit more authoritative and bossy on set, probably (as you need to be to direct movies). From what I've seen, Sam seems to walk the perfect line between being a strong, commanding presence on set as well as being a polite, good humored, gracious gentleman.

This series was a big influence on Edgar Wright....he singles out this episode.....and when you see Ross interview some dull reality star on his chat show, remember he’s also the man who brought Russ Meyer to the masses

I was born in the 90s, but I love the horror movies of the 80s, especially The Evil dead and Evil dead 2, I have never lived in the 80s, but I always feel that there is a part of my soul that belongs to the 80s, this It feels weird, this video always makes me feel like it taking me back to a time I'm familiar with but I've never seen..

I live for this kind of stuff. I'm still disgusted that the Ash vs Evil Dead series was cancelled by the Starz channel. For the young fans out there, if you like evil dead 2 and 3 humor, look up The old Three Stooges reruns. Some of the corny humor is "stooges-like". Avoid the Joe and Curly Joe era though. 🙈
@MrWitchman19678 ай бұрын
I think this has been edited. I watched it in 1992, and there were scenes from "Six Months to Live," and a short skit where Sam Raimi kills the Pillsbury Doughboy...

i see various references real or imagined - in these movies from the beast with five fingers to a conneticut yankee in king arthur's court etc... was a scary movie when initially seen - but one is now left trying to recapture that initial thrill - which is impossible rather like trying to recapture one's youth by fucking it... that said, i'm willing to give it a go... baa bum!!! (sic)

Didn't the army of darkness come out in 92 and the evil dead in 81...not trying to correct just confused
@SergeantLuke4 жыл бұрын
Evil Dead 1 was finished and premiered in Detroit in 1981, but it wasn’t sold to distributors and widely released until 1982 in the UK (and actually didn’t come out until ‘83 in the US). Army of Darkness was finished in 1992 but had to be delayed to January 1993 due to legal problems.
