A very interesting post indeed! However, there are good suggestions - same age of retirement for judges being one. As one looks at the constitution, one starts appreciating the people who thought, conceptualized and wrote it.

there are many criticisms to our constitution one of them being that it is a law manual, a paradise for lawyers as opined by Sir Ivor Jennings. It is out of grasp of the common citizen of the country with heavy usage of verbiage

@madhury5885 Indian constitution contained nothing original but it's the amalgamation of other constitution btw it's the advanced version of 1935 GoI Act. Despite having the written constitution we failed in constitutionalism .

@@Campfire0012 whats wrong with taking inspiration from the good of other constitutions of the world? It is not a blind copy of other constitutions but rather a well researched mix of necessary fundamentals. Whats wrong with incorporating most of the GoI Act 1935 when Indians are already used to the same system and have experience with it? There is no such thing as plagiarism in copying of the constitution, there is no patent on constitutions. DPSP's, part IV of the constituion, were borrowed from the Irish constitution, but the Irish themselves copied the idea from the spanish constitution. "Failed in constitionalism" Elaborate.
