The Indian Roller is a state bird of Karnataka, Telengana and Odisha in India. It is a brightly coloured bird with various shades of blue on the wings, tail and belly that are more prominent in flight.
They are commonly seen on farmlands, open grasslands, thin forests and also found in urban areas. Their diet includes insects, spiders, small amphibians and also feed on grains in urban areas.
