i don't usually comment, but this was such a rich episode. i loved the conversations, and i loved watching kumar and haikel reminisce about the past. it's also interesting to see how things have changed so much, and i can't imagine what society will be like 20 years from now.

OMG This is the best episode out period. I agree so much with what Kumar and Haikel has to say about current generations. I have shivers all over myself just listening to this. Like seriously, this is true beyond comprehension. Glad I watched this. Thank you Kumar and Haikel for this wonderful insight. I hope people get what they're trying to say. Otherwise, God speed to them.

I agree in the media industry being too conservative, i find asian parents being too conservative in their thinking more in terms of career perspectives. Innovation thrives in silicon valley, the reason there is no silicon valley here is because of how safe everyone is. The standard route to "success" is to spend half your life in school then find out 5 years later your degree has nothing to do with what you want to pursue in life. Something I learnt about people I know who attend colleges like Harvard and ivy leagues, its fancy yes but people there dont see failure as we do at face value in asia, they see it as without failure there is no learning. Failure is very much embraced and seen as a calculated risk thats why it breeds innovation

Loved this eps bcos of how true it is esp about pushing the envelopes and munah hirzi’s content. Can also see how much gap and differences there are today. Thank you for the insightful vid! Also, the subtitles was funny too. Good job!

I love this channel's content. Being a non-native, I can learn a lot about the local culture and thoughts. The first time, I saw Kumar in a short tik-tok video and I was laughing like mad. he is so talented. I believe if you wanna know about any society, culture and social norms, the best way is to follow their comedy.

I am in the entertainment industry myself (music), and its nice to hear the back story of how the OGs struggled & finally made it in Singapore.

The 19:00 mins statement from Sheikh is amazingly true and it hits me like an arrow. Growing up, I have always always been doing that realising or not realising it because it started with my mom. When she goes up the escalator I am behind her to protect her just in case she falls or something and I am there to catch her and I've been doing all my dating life and till my wife. You stand in front just in case they fall forward. I stand and cross where the traffic is coming cause if anything were to happened the accident impact will be hit me first to cushion it lesser for the my love ones on my left. This episode is really amazing. I also want to say Haikel bro, if you remember me, it was in 1991, in SPS I had to tried out for rugby, and the main reason that I got selected was because I tackled you down. You have been my idol, my inspiration and I watch you from Asia Bagus till now. Keep doing what you are doing and make Singapore proud. To Kumar, I will never forget in my army daze in 1997-1999 (i think) I was earning $180/month from NS salary, every pay day I would spent money to watch you perform in Bugis, Boom Boom Room and because I did not want to spent more money, I will either lepak at the bus stop of bugis till the first bus or walk home back then from Bugis to Serangoon North. And if you are reading this, we use to chill and lepak together in the 2000s when you perform in HRC, post you show we partied the near kitchen area and post that our occasional supper in Newtown. I missed wathcing you guys perform and I hope one day I get to watch you both perform live once again. Cheers! Shah

"For every 100 positives you make, 1 negative is all it takes" In this time...day and age. Losing your job to some controversy is the least of your worries, it is what your descendants will encounter or a still yet to be born person...It is a implication that will affect your family tree for years and years. That is a very huge risk everybody is afraid off.
