I love the editing. IMO a big problem with these runs is it can get stale and the dialogue can get old. Cutting out most of the training and focusing on showing the big moments has made each episode feel much more refreshing

Glad you think so Miracle! I'm doing my best to keep the entertainment value high. This episode was a bit of a filler in terms of story development, so I needed to figure out how to keep it moving quickly. And a lot of that for this episode was editing out some battles, because I found that I kind of force out a lot of the script, and even get writers block, when I'm trying to find things to say during those monotonous battles you know. So I just cut them out when that gets stale. Thanks for the feedback on that!

Before I begin, I want to state that through five parts, I'm enjoying this LP. Definitely has quite a few highlights so far. Favorite underused Pokémon introduced in Gen 3 would be the Baltoy/Claydol line. While another wall in addition to Aggron, Claydol is more of a mixed wall as compared to Aggron being strictly a physical wall. In addition, its typing of Ground/Psychic would, I think, slot into the team quite nicely and would cover quite a few weaknesses such as: 1) Aggron's quad weaknesses to fighting and ground (given that Claydol's ability is levitate) 2) An immunity to electric types that would be a weakness of both Swellow and a water type. In addition, having access to both Psychic and Earthquake with same type attack bonus is a big bonus. Pokémon nicknames: If the Presidents goes with Sharpedo, (who, btw, has the same problems as Crawdaunt as that its stat distribution does not fit its move pool in gen 3) -- Jaws or Speedo If the Presidents go with Crawdaunt (criminally underused in its own right) -- Christopher (Christopher the Crawdaunt is kind of an alliteration) or Loki (if male) or Pandora (if female) (because its pre-evolution is an invasive species and Crawdaunt basically takes over any water environment)

(sorry I just watched both episodes so I'm kinda gonna do a hybrid comment) I'm not going to lie, I was starting to get worried when Joe was talking about getting his next pokemon on the route above because my mind automatically assumed it was gonna be a Plusel or Minum and REALLY scare away the last remaining 3 female viewers by what he says about that poor little thing. But, Ruby is actually a really sweet tribute. Also i know im too late to offer my water type suggestion but fuck it ima do it anyways. I would have loved to see a Relicanth just for the uniqueness. I would also have had somebody name it Donald or joe because theyre both old fossils with thick skulls. Anyways,as for this this episode's question, personally I would say Rampardos. Sure digging around for him in the caves is a pain and he's lacking those competitive stats, but with rock head combined with rock polish, swords dance, attract and headsmash this thing is an absolute fucking monster when it comes to attack power And as for MY choice for a team member (Sorry this comment is getting long lol) either a sponk/Grumpig for an always welcome psychic special wall in a gen where dark is special, or i would be basic and vote for Flygon. Theres some great overlap between the generation that appreciates president AI series and the generation that enjoys these older pokemon games, so I figured an AI presidents play emerald is the optimal way to go, you know. And thanks for the feedback on the footage editing. Those longer battles with nothing important happening can be pretty exhausting in terms of finding good dialogue that keeps you all entertained, so I end up sparing my sanity by just editing it out. So I did some thinking and there are a lot of under used Pokémon but seems like Seviper and Grumpig are the best ones among the underated ones I think. Seviper is a very solid underappreciate pokemon! I think grumpig is okay too but unfortunately just not very great in emerald where there is an abundance of dark type pokemon and a surprising amount of ghosts as well. Just not the game to bring a psychic type to.

Three weeks late on this comment, but one of my favorite underrated Pokemon is Hitmontop in HG/SS! You’re only able to access it after the eighth gym, so it’s really hard to justify getting a Tyrogue from the Karate King and raising it up from Level 5 to catch up to the rest of the team. I did it on my most recent play-through and it was a champ! For Gen 3, another underrated Pokemon is Camerupt! Hard to use late game due to 4x weakness to water, but can come in clutch! I’d name it Everest

I also forgot to add because Icy Wind comes later game after spending some Battle points at the frontier you can easily utilize in place of double team at the league. Baynette learns Shadow Ball all on its own and that allows you to use Shadow Ball for a different Pokemon. Alternatively you could teach Baynette water pulse until it can learn the preferred (can't recommend enough) Icy Wind to attack both sides while lowering speed setting up partner speed. Thunderbolt to paralyze opportunity. Both Psychic and Shadow Ball to lower sp def in addition to stab on Shadow Ball. As Donnie would say "This one's the best suggested option to wrap up our team but would further make us great. What a deal.I would take that deal that's a great deal. glad to see whiscash made it to the final 2. to add to the argument whiscash gets access to amnesia to help it out with its phenomenal bulk and hp. like joe said earthquake at 40 and also access to dive and surf means it can add to hm slaving for a bit if need be. the pokemon can also learn rest and sleep talk meaning you can heal it and keep it's offense going as well. also oblivious means it can't become infatuated XD team Whscash!

So it seems that it is between Sharpedo and Whiscash. If I were to choose one, it would be whiscash. Sharpedo is a great Pokémon to have on the team, but it is too frail and half of the team is already made of glass cannons. Whiscash provides some nice bulk and you can never go wrong with early stab earthquake. It is also more underrated than Sharpedo and you did say you want some less loved Pokémon. So my vote goes to whiscash. (The name for the wheel I want is still boat for both sharpedo or whiscash) As for the final teammate, here are some I would recommend based on your water type. If it is whiscash, than grumpig, torkoal, absol, banette, dusclops, seviper, or even glalie would be cool to see. If it is sharpedo, than the sixth member could be the popular flygon or claydol, camerupt, and a couple others that I mentioned. I gotta agree with Donald about the bikes. Mach is for hardcore players. I think forretress is an incredibly underrated Pokémon. It is one of the few good johto Pokémon. This series keeps getting better and better. And I love how you aren’t making generic jokes like how other pres LP’s do. Keep up the great work! :)

You make some great points about whiscash (lowkey I'm leaning more towards him, but it is still between whiscash, sharpedo, and milotic. With a 1% chance for wailord if I wanna just throw a complete curveball in). Forretress is a wild take, he is definitely super good in early competitive pokemon but you almost never see him anywhere in vanilla. But I agree he is a relatively good johto pokemon. Unfortunately scizor completely outshines him in that bug/steel category, which is a very very strong type combination. Thanks for all the great feedback man! Glad to know you're liking the series. Go for that feebas. Use old rod 3 times on each tile. Much faster. Start on the southern patch of water on route 119. I’ve always found 1 feebas tile there when I fish it. And it’s true, wishcash sucks ass.

oh for sure, if it is at all eventful, whether it be a major battle or not, I'll keep it in there. Even if just one pokemon faints so the other presidents can make fun of whoever is playing. But a lot of these random trainers just have underleveled shitters, and some even have full teams of 6 that take several minutes to fight.
