@no1socer I saw Andy Hall sit in with YMSB last year in Nashville, and it was fantastic! I'm hoping that helped lead to this years run of shows together. I can't wait! Last year the Stringdusters toured with Steep Canyon Rangers. SCR has some amazing harmony.

You can't make comparisons like that and expect it to mean anything. The Dusters are a breaking ground and taking bluegrass in a really really cool direction! YMSB did that in their way, and who cares which band is "better" right at this moment in time, in somebody's opinion? Both bands are touring, getting exposure, making money -- god bless them all -- wish it was me . . . LOL

Great to see that Jess Cobb is coming to Sore Fingers Summer School 2013 - that will help get the band some more exposure (rather than me singing all the songs :)) Hope Andy Hall will come and do dobro class soon too. It's Billy Cardine this year - he's a proper ninja.

They are 2 different groups both exploring boundaries in different ways. While The Stringdusters have more of that classic bluegrass soul, they are not afraid to push the limit. Same can be said for YMSB, I might be a little biased, but no one can diss Adam Aijala's skills, the man plays with his eyes closed for gods sake. Watching Adam and Andy pass the lead is sick also and we may not see that if they weren't on tour together.

PS - I guess I'm not really that bummed that they toured together, it's just that there's no justice in having these guys open for them, instead of the other way around.

how'd you guys get Adam Sandler to play guitar for yens?

Bums me out that they're touring with Yonder these days. YMSB doesn't even deserve to wash their feet, much less headline.
