I'm actually nervous about the new Infant life stage. I always have this fear that it'll be a glitchy, bug riddled mess.

Get ready for infants calling your Sims up to be your friend! I am not putting my hopes up but it's gonna be interesting.

I hope it is a useful fun stage and not a waste.

I can't wait for the infant stage. Sims 3 has horrible graphics and likes to try and freeze on my desktop, but the little that I've played with the basegame of Sims 3, I do enjoy the crawling around, the working crib thing, etc so I'd love it if they do all or any of that when they update the babies with the infant stage. I had fun trying to keep track of the kid in Sims 3. Lol. I didn't wanna stress my poor desktop out with a bunch of Sims 3 gameplay, so I've very seldom done anything in it. As for when it's coming out, I watched someone else's channel yesterday and they said that it's possibly going to be the 5th (tomorrow) or next week. I'll be surprised if they work that quickly on it.

I doubt it’ll be releasing randomly before any gameplay footage, ea creator network early access content or even a teaser. Guess we’ll wait and see

EXACTLY!! “Latest part of the early part of the year” is exactly what I’m thinks (and hoping cause then hopefully there will be fewer issues)

I don’t know what I am looking forward to the most, but I know bare minimum what I want: - Changing tables where you can change the infants’s diaper and maybe their clothes, too. - Bottles, maybe a “skill” that allows them to progress from bottles to solids bridging the gap between newborns and toddlers. - Baths, either in the sink (though I think they might be too big for that) or in a special bath for them that can be put inside real baths or used independently. - Cribs, again maybe a “skill” that allows them to progress from cribs to toddler begs, but I’d be pretty happy with just cribs. - Escaping from said cribs (à la TS2 toddlers) - Crawling skill that once mastered they can walk to bridge the gap between newborns and toddlers, but also because I miss teaching them how to actually walk. Once mastered they can start on their motion skill as toddlers. - Talking/speech skill. This would be a precursor to the communication skill and once mastered, they could start learning that. I’d like both this and the crawling/walking skill to be similar to the TS2 toddlers, though both would move into the toddler skills once mastered. Potentially also pull the nursery rhyme skill from TS2 as part of this, because an infant singing to his/herself would be so cute. I don’t think it needs to be a separate skill though. - I think I would leave the potty skill for toddlers, because while some kids do learn that at the infant age, I think most are toddlers. That said it would be fun if there was something for infants to do to in some way affect their ability to learn all of the toddler skills once they are toddlers. Maybe if you change their diapers and clean them up fast enough they gain that bit of the independent trait regardless of actual trait (not the best way of working it, but something to affect it) or they can “play potty” by sitting on the potty with their diaper on (so long as said diaper is clean) and gain up to one level. For imagination and thinking maybe they can use some of the relevant toys and I definitely want them to be able to go in that play tent. - I want them to be able to interact with all other sims, including some interaction involving newborns, maybe a teen or older can “show baby to infant” or something. - Clothing types. I want them to have clothes and at least have everyday, sleepwear, hot weather, and cold weather. Swimwear would be nice, but they’d definitely need adult in the water with them or something even in a kiddy pool. - hair. Doesn’t have to be a lot, but at least reasonable variety with texture, length, and style.

All very valid points. I personally don’t want that many skills, but a lot of what you’re saying makes sense.

@@ChaniZA I’m cool with just the crawling/walking and speech/talking. I’d like something to connect to all toddler skills like child skills connect to adult skills (though not all, admittedly), but those two are the biggest ones. The eating and beds don’t have to be skills. I just think it would be cute to see them transition from one to the other. Maybe change from crib to toddler bed when they can walk for that part. I definitely think if there isn’t a transition for food, the infants should either use a bottle, eat baby food specifically, or some combination of both. One thing I want to see, but absolutely don’t expect is the return of the TS2 charisma toy, wobbling rabbit head (or something like that) and what my sister and I like to call the rabbit cult (which basically is every sim on the lot sitting down behind the toddler playing with the toy and chatting up a storm. It’s the ultimate friendship tool).

Is teething really a skill though? Feels more like a moodlet that’ll cause a negative affect
