The human mind is apparently finite because it creates space and time within itself, so it cannot visualize infinity, but it seems that the mind is just a blind architect, whose constructions can only be visualized by the consciousness that is infinity focused on our own being.

The visible universe can be crossed with only 23 steps… The first step is 1 meter long, and all next steps 10 times longer than the previous…. So the universe is Teally, Really small.

This life is the creators mystery, we were never meant to understand it or have any answers. We were just meant to live it and be a part of it. The day we understand it is the day i dont want to be on earth anymore.

Just remember everyone, no matter how big the universe is, we humans are all connected to it and to each other. Us and everything inside of us all come from the same place. We are all connected.

One of the better explained layout of possibilities for a layman such as I. At age 72, I find myself dwelling upon these ideas with much more interest, although I’ve been a space buff since childhood. I remember Shepard, Glenn, and all that followed. So this was a nice brain stimulator! Thanks! 1:44

What if the universe is infinite in _time,_ as well as space? The thought is truly mind-bending!

If the Universe is Infinite - boundless - and if we do indeed allow ourselves to as fully accept the consequences of such a Reality as we can, then it should be an easy thought-experiment to disavow this human need, desire, even demand for 'Laws'. Thus, I find it disquieting that a discourse on Infinity falls back on the word 'Implications'. I believe 'Implications' limit a true understanding of Infinity. It seeks to apply immutable Laws even to Infinity. "If the Universe is boundless and Governed by the same physical laws everywhere...." - We can't be so arrogant as to infer our local 'laws' of physics apply throughout Infinity. Why should there need to be a copy or copies of me in an Infinite Universe of Infinite conditions? There is no need for finite conditions or copycat physical laws throughout an Infinite Universe. My thoughts on Infinity are truly mind bending, for I say that if a Universe is genuinely Infinite, then I think it must be so both macroscopically AND microscopically. Each single atom then becomes infinitely small. Now that seriously IS an Infinite Universe!

We will never be able understand the size because at the edge of the universe the galaxies are moving away faster than light and hence we will never see that light .

What about the multiverse. Infinite number of universe's each with their own infinity.

Thank you for the good video and the philosophical aspect of this question. This possibility is rising the question for the purpose and meaning of life. If each of us have chance to exist just one time in the infinity must understand the incredible value of the chance to be part of this wonderful Universe. Do we have to waste this golden chance, or must grab it and make the best of it? The question is what everyone understand of "Best" My understanding of best is to be the best in any aspect - Intellect, ethics, capability, contribution to society. Others understand the chance differently and greed is their purpose of life. There is a book where we can learn a load about the Universe - "Theory of Everything in Physics and the Universe" And why the endless Universe is the most likely scenario.

For sake of argument, if the universe isn't infinite that doesn't really matter since after a certain distance from earth stars and exoplanets are moving away faster than the speed of light, thus the universe is expanding faster than light.

Question, is there a connection between the 93 million miles from the sun distance of earth & the "observable universe" being 93.3 million light years across?
@allandombroski655
@allandombroski655 13 күн бұрын
93 billion* across. Interesting but I don’t think there’s a connection between them because they’re measuring different things. Converted to miles: 93 billion light years = 546,710,398,771,176,400,000,000 miles

One thing that is interesting tho: when we look onto the horizon of the observable universe, we find ourselves in the center of that detection… even tho we know we’re not the center of the universe - it’s so big that we can’t even find our exact place in it.

Brilliant! Absolutely magnificent but i beg the differ everything that has a beginning has an end if the big bang wasnt the beginning then it occurred from a previous universe giving birth to our universe and this could've happen infinitely so the multiverse theory makes sense by this standard but yeah all speculative theory's we never know

Infinity is a mystical idea, so to speak, that can't be conceived let alone proven. You can't arrive at a perspective capable of encompassing something that is infinite because infinity defies measurement. What is infinity minus one? Or ... The universe is infinite! Cut it half, now what do you have?

Right now on Earth, there are 8 billion versions of you. You don't have to travel across multiple universes to find a copy. People have searched the Internet and found exact duplicate copies of themselves in real time. No need to travel the universe.

Well if the universe is boundless then by mandate an omnipotent creator is out there somewhere . There would be many more higher advanced civilizations to maintain its interest also, so atheists can take solace In that ...seems they can't quite find away around the creator issue no matter how hard they try.

This is not the exact situation - Many scientists share your view, but they afraid to speak out. Anybody who really understand Physics cannot see that the Universe is a intelligently design and is one enormous living organism, capable to think, and to regulate itself. The concept of God is illusive, one possibility is that the driving force of the Universe - the Universal Consciousness is part of God, or it is the God. We need to grow and to become much more intelligent to be able to understand the Universe. The good news is that we can start learning from the book - "Theory of Everything in Physics and the Universe" I hope that this will help.

@Orion15-b9j I'm all about that! It's time we move past the binary choice of ( in my opinion) the absurd lucky rabbits foot guide to reality and the unknowable rendition of an all loving intelligent creator. Neither jive with witnessed reality except for the intelligent part of the Paradigm.
