A straight shooting black pastor from Memphis recently said the problem in the black church was more people were interested in playing churchianity and not practicing CHRISTianity. That applies across all races when Christ is compromised out of HIS OWN church.

Jesus said to walk away from owning land, houses, and families in order to inherit treasure in Heaven, and not to become pastors because they are under the greater condemnation. Going to church won't save you; showing mercy to the poor will. Personally, not tithes for others to do good works on your behalf. If you sleep with a pillow at night, you would want the same for your neighbor. After all, King David built a house then cried because God still lived in a tent; so, he set aside his riches to pay for it. That is loving your neighbor as yourself. Either raise them up or lower yourself so there is equity and no stumbling block to covet. The dorm shelter system with curfews has no scriptural foundation, and is not loving your neighbor as yourself. This sin against the poor spreads disease and bitter spirits because they treat them like property to order around. No wonder why Ezekiel said the sin of Sodom was for being full of bread and ignoring the poor. For some reason, they think giving them the old leaven of expired bread from the grocery store is charity and not contempt. Don't give others something you would never eat yourself.
