Is ti possible that when you are filling up a empty gas tank and you have the gas nozzle in the opening of the tank for the gas to go out to the side of the gas tank opening not in the tank.

the air that gets socked into the fuel and forms bubbles. will the bubbles escape quickly after the left the nozzle to the tank or they might get build up in the tank?!

I have the exact same problem after I had to change the gas pump in my PT Cruiser I get the Error: P0499 - NVLD canister vent valve solenoid circuit high, it does have a lot to do with it, right?

You more than likely have a bad vent solenoid or didn't reconnect the wiring and connectors to it when you were down there. hope that helps. GL

I haven't driven in cold climates but I hear there's a winter blend gas they used during the cold season and it actually gives worse mpg's.

I recently disconnected my battery to install a new alternator and when I reconnected the battery and drove about 5 miles. Once I got to the gas station I tried to fill my tank but it would only take like 4 gallons. Would disconnecting the battery have something to do with this.

It shouldn't, do you have a check engine light for an Evap Vent Solenoid? Are you sure the gas gauge is accurate?

+Ratchets And Wrenches Hey the gas hand is about right from my weekly usage. The check engine light didnt come on. I will hook an OBD up and see if the ECM is ready. It was kind of of that this happenen and the car is a 06 Ford Mustang.

Just looked it up on youtube, it's a hoax. You are running on vapor when your injectors open anyways. It's not like liquid fuel is entering your combustion chamber. If you spray a little in the throttle you can run your engine but won't be getting much power.
