The voltage was showing negative because you had the tester probes backwards. Otherwise, it would show +0.69V.

Folks, Here is a *MUCH* better and more practical video on clear coat repair. It’s more practical because clear coat damage to this extent always includes *some* level of paint damage. This video shows the sand/paint/re-clear process in detail. kzbin.info/www/bejne/Z3nFiquZfb2BntEsi=5kB-YbW2vDYU-sC8

The Dodge Stratus, was in fact, the worst car ever made by Chrysler: It had the infamous 2.7 Litre V6. It is factually the worst engine ever produced. It burns oil; accumulates sludge; and leaks coolant into the crankcase. The battery was located in the front wheel well: You needed an hydraulic lift to even access the battery!

I have been driving since 1966. I have owned many classical cars. I own a 2004 PT Cruiser, Base Model with 5 Speed. My PT Cruiser had just over 97,000 original miles, when I bought it, and is in showroom condition. I love the dash configuration; the cabin has plenty of head room, (I am 6' 4"). I am impressed by the excellent overall fit and finish of this vehicle. Doors, Windows, Locks, are all made rock solid. The ride is solid, and quiet. The handling is tight and sporty. The 2.4 delivers excellent smooth power, and has a high redline limit, of 6,000 RPM! It is an advanced DOHC 16 valve engine, (4 valves per cylinder). The specs say it has 2 counter rotating balancers for smooth performance. My PT Cruiser has had its timing belt, thermostat, and water pump replaced, only as an advanced preventative measure.. There has been no zero oil consumption, and absolutely no coolant loss, after more than 5,000 miles of driving, since I bought it. With a new set tires, no other repairs have been needed. The cargo room is impressive, and quite useful. It is a true mini cargo truck, with a solid curb weight of 3,100 LBS. My PT Cruiser was garage kept by an elderly couple. The Butter-Cream paint-finish is flawless, and after a hand/paste wax job, shines like new. This is a, fun to drive, true collectable America Classic!

Original tire size: 215/55-R17. I Want to change the aspect ratio from 55 to 60 or 65 (e.g., 215/65-R17) without changing the original wheel rims. Do you have any suggestions/ recommendations?

Hello! My 2017 Yukon has a particular issue… @ a stop light the rpm drop below 500 lets say 400 consistently… and I feel the engine shaking, in the other hand while driving the engine feels smooth. I went to a GMC DEALER shop service and as you imagine everything was done and still with my issue… Mass Flow sensor ✅ Throttle Body ✅ Bank 1 lifters ✅ with no check engine all them changed Any advice? This shakiness at stop light is very annoying Thank You!

Yes an incandescent bulb test light can damage a PCM. A 12V incandescent bulb test light, either name brand or home made, is excellent for testing incandescent bulb circuits, like old style tail lights. This is because you are matching the test to the load. Most people do not take the time to understand that an incandescent bulb has a cold filament in-rush current that can be 15X the steady state current. You need a current clamp and scope to actually capture the amount of in-rush current applied. Traditionally, the most vulnerable PCM (also instrument clusters and virtually all modules) circuits are +5VREF and SIGTRN. This is because they have very thin traces on the module PCB and can be overloaded (will actually act like a small fuse) using an incandescent bulb test light, where the initial in-rush has enough energy to blow the trace. For PCM SIGRTN, which is just a ground return for the sensors, many want to test if it is at ground by applying the incandescent bulb test light, referenced to +12V Battery, to the module pin by back probing or piecing the SIGRTN wire. The in-rush can blow the PCB trace. Usually this is the only damage done to the PCB. Many experienced PCM board layout engineers will put in a fuse trace section on the PCB which will blow first, and is positioned so it can easily be inspected and repaired. For PCM +5VREF, which is the supply for sensors, is probed with the incandescent bulb to +12V Battery to see if +5V is present, and the bulb should be slightly dimmer than if the test was to ground, which is fine, except that the +5VREF regulator will have an overvoltage clamp and thermal shut down, to protect the regulator if connected to +12V, however the PCB trace will not be protected. So, here again, the only damage done is a blown trace on the PCB. Unfortunately, if you blow the SIGRTN or the +5VREF trace on the PCB, the PCM will not function properly, and the PCM is most definitely "damaged" by the incandescent test light. But, why would you test +5VREF with the test light? Why not use a DMM on volts? Well because the test light is easier, you are all ready using it on SIGRTN. An option to using an incandescent test light is to use an LED test light. This will protect the PCM but many technicians say it does not draw enough current to test connection and wire integrity under a sufficient load.

I am experiencing all the symptoms too on top of going through second pair of tires in less than a year. Mechanics say I went over a hole and lost the alignment, the car has 60k miles and it never happened for the first 50k miles of driving. But the mechanics claim suspension is all good and new because it’s not visibly damaged. I really doubt that anyone actually does the drive test to make sure they just look at it and say it’s fine, unless some mechanics do?

should the filter be changed in reality? The filter is a vacuum driven component as opposed to a pressure driven oil filter. What are your thoughts on this topic? I see opinions both ways.

Some would say start with a paarticular grit like 600 then 800 & finish with 1200 before applying the clear after which you'd remove the orange peel with 2000 then, compound, polish & seal. Here, it seems as if dude just skipped all those steps and only used scotch brite then applied the clear coat. Which one is it?
