Nice! To me the optimum duration of meditation is: five minutes longer than what I am comfortable with. It allows me to challenge feelings of resistance and expectation while not turning practice into a chore.

Aatmiya GURUJi... Hare Krsna. Learning from this lesson, understood the obstacles faced that prompting for giving up the Meditating practice. Now, shall begin again practicing meditation keeping fruitful parameters including Patience, Persuasion gradually growing in TIME. Loving you one and all Now and HERE in this Light and Moment.

Swami ji, a real masterpiece! The most important point you made was that one must enjoy doing meditation otherwise better not do it out of a school boyish sense of duty! And is it not a general principle of a happy life? One must enjoy what one happens to be doing be it meditation, daily chores or sports. Aurobindo perhaps meant this when he said work done in its proper spirit is meditation! And the proper spirit is "enjoying" the activity. Not without reason did Carlyle say that blessed is the man who has found his vocation. Looking forward to your forthcoming videos on this subject of meditation.

Ah yes caffeine, I drink 180mg caffeine energy drinks before meditation, plus I play music and no joke I have reached such high states, Felt like I am the entirety of the universe, bright light exploding from me and and filling up the entire cosmos 😌 done many times but it is unsustainable since caffeine is literally a drug, so you crash and feel worse. So my goal now is to feel good at all times and reach those hight states without any drugs 😌

I am not so sure that this is what was said. Rather, "to succeed, make your experience (not un)pleasant."

Swamiji 🙏🏼 is it ok to support my back against a wall during meditation if needed ?
@jamescarter3174 жыл бұрын
You can sit on a pillow with your feet touching the floor. This will angle the body forward, allowing you to sit straight without much back support. If your sitting against a wall, only let your upper back touch the wall, your lower back should be curved inwards to keep the natural spine posture.

The irony is being from Nepal where Buddha was born and listening to English Guru talk about Vedanta and that too about meditation. This is just really funny
