He had offers from Bama, etc. But when he and his father went to Colorado... suddenly he had to earn EVERYTHING all over again. The system tried to ignore him. Laughed at him as he got sacked 52 times. Mocked him when he hurt his back. They just wanted to see him humbled. They still don't think Shedeur is humble enough so he's not even in talks for the Heisman. His father mentioned that. But they love Cam now. So the blue-chip player is treated more poorly than Cam who comes from humble beginnings.

Mario is letting him play sandlot and has to "live" with Wards' crazy cross-body throws for interceptions, and play extensions. This will NOT translate to the NFL.
