Micah Parsons is simply unblockable. NFL offenses have a bevy of different protection schemes to deploy when trying to protect their quarterback, but no matter what an offense does, Parsons is going to sack the quarterback. How does he do it? And what are the different protection schemes teams try and fail to use? This week’s episode uses the coaches all 22 game film to analyze the Dallas Cowboys Linebacker Micah Parsons.

I really enjoy watching Micah Parsons play since he’s so versatile and they move him around on the defense. PFF showed in his snap counts he was even used as a blitzer from defensive back positions. Doing so from slot corner, strong safety, free safety, and even the outside corner spots throughout his career with the Cowboys.

You should continue the Series Brett Coleman did but abandoned on the NFL's official channel where he combined aspects of different players to create the perfect player at each position (example for edge rushers: Von's ghost move, Micah's explosiveness, Garret's power). Would really love to see your take on this type of video, especially ones on edge rushers and linebackers. The vids were called creating the perfect running back/receiver if you need to find it. I think it would be a major hit for you and wouldn't take very long to make in comparison to these player breakdowns.

Around the 7:43 ,The producer said there is a way to stop him. That’s ironic considering the title of this video. Around 9:31 “nothing can stop him “but there are clips of him being blocked and has problems defending the run, Myles Garret is more dominant than him because his team had the best defense in the league last year. I don’t understand why he contradicts himself in the same video.

I need to be fair. He literally had his highest pressure rate against the Packers but I have no fucking earthly idea why Dan Quinn was so insistent on running man coverage against a team that literally runs the ball and uses crossing routes also the lack of size at linebacker was killing the Cowboys honestly they probably should’ve just put him off ball and put in Armstrong to help contain the runs

I agree, he has the athleticism, skill set, and production so far in his career to be on the path to be the considered as 1 of the greatest to ever play. New DC wants him to play more off ball this season, I guess it’s to use his athleticism to pursue the RB in the open field on running downs because he’s not good against the run when he’s on the line. It’s also interesting that in a contract year they want him to play off ball because ILB on average are paid less than edge rushers. Ppl need to stop letting their biases towards the cowboys devalue his talent.

I'm commenting before watching the video but I would like to say: Parsons is one of the most overrated players I've ever seen. I hear endless talk about how good he is, he is unstoppable... Ive seen TJ watt end games by himself. Ive seen Maxx Crosby end games by himself. Ive watched Myles Garett end games by himself. I watched tons of great defensive ends take over games and basically make the other team unable to pass the ball at the end of a game. Parsons doesn't do this. Until he does there no way in hell I'd call him the best pass rusher, not even close.

The reality is no one player is that dominant on defense that they can’t have a bad game or get outplayed or out schemed. Even the great Aaron Donald has. Take any of the top defensive players and they all had at least a few games where they were quieted by offenses. Niners fans should understand this all too well after losing yet another SB that they were supposed to win. Even the best players and teams can get out coached.

Zach Tom, Tristian Wirfs, Lane Johnson and Trent Williams showed us once you get physical(hands on pads like you mentioned) with him he ain’t gonna do anything the entire game. He’ll be better served playing Mike linebacker causes he’s better off the ball. 90% of these highlights are vs awful Oline like chargers, commanders, patriots and panthers who ranked bottom 10 all season long. I don’t think the Bears are going to trade for him. Hes a great defensive player but I’m not sure Poles would want to give away 1st or 2nd rounders for him right now. I will eat my words if you’re right though, and I absolutely wouldn’t mind having him!

Alex, I don't want to call all of those teams trash, but to claim he is unblockable while showing some of the worst teams in the NFL and ignoring how the best teams errased him isn't a good video, bro. You usually do a lot better.

He also showed him against the Eagles who are considered one of the top O lines plus Chargers and Dolphins. Reality is most teams don’t have great O lines. The top DE’s tend to feast on the bad ones. Go look at Bosa’s stats against good teams. Garrett had 7 games with no sacks last season. Two games against the Texans late in the season no sacks. It’s a team sport and even the best defenses lose.

Unblockable...until someone goes one-on-one with him. Showing game film of him against 4 of the worst offensive lines in the league last year is a bit cheap. The game film against the Eagles showed him being handled(that does mean he didnt affect the pocket)if you count it out the Eagles were holding him off for about 2.5-3secs which is all you can ask for in the NFL. Most any reason Hurts couldnt get the ball off at that point should be attributed the secondary and therefore any excess pressure Parsons gets is due to the secondary holding up incredibly well. Parsons is an absolute monster but when good O-line's go one-on-one with him he is either neutralized or he gets a coverage sack

@@wesharris5465The Eagles had one of the best O lines and offenses in the league the last 3 years. Even though they stunk in the later part of last season that doesn’t mean that Micah’s numbers aren’t real. The Eagles still had one of the top rated O lines yet Micah and the Cowboys did well against them. Very few teams have good O lines. And most top DE’s struggle against the good ones. It’s not like Garrett, Bosa, or Watt didn’t have bad games last season. They all had good games against bad O lines. Bosa is one of the best DE’s yet he had one sack for the entire postseason. Garrett had zero sacks against the Texans in the regular season and the playoffs. He also had 7 games with no sacks. No the player in the last 3 seasons has put more pressure on quarterbacks than Parsons. He has over 100 pressures in all 3 of his first 3 seasons. No one has had more. They all play against the same bad or good O lines. So yes, bullshit.

I'd argue he's a top 3 defender only now that JJ Watt and Aaron Donald have retired. Even then I wouldn't say he's the best defender in the league. (Antoine Winfield Jr if anyone was curious.)

He only led the league in total QB pressures the last 3 seasons. Led the league in QB pressure rate too. QB hurries. QB hurry rate. Pass rush productivity rate. And pass rush win rate. In the 3 seasons he’s been in the league he has 213 tackles and 40.5 sacks. JJ had 40 and 13.5, only played in 23 games. Donald had 186 and 25.5 in the last 3 seasons. They were both at the tail end of their careers whereas Micah is just getting started. They are two first ballot HOF players for certain but they weren’t at the top defensively the last few seasons. Garrett and TJ Watt are.

@@dogger37JC The only reason I bring him up is the 49ers build their entire defense around how insane Warner is. He's the captain of the defense, makes the calls, rushes the passer, takes on guards face up and takes WRs man up down field and everything in between and is really good at all of it. There isn't another defender who does all that.
