As a Nets fan, that’s why I have a lot of respect for Giannis, you can tell he tries to work on his game in the summer. Sure he may not make every shot and may even airball a couple FTs, but he doesn’t let it stop him from being aggressive

Main difference in Giannis compared to Ben to me is the difference between a lot of players most of the time. Ben was a pampered Aussie who was always better than everyone he faced because he was more physically gifted not skilled. Hence being told he was going to be in the NBA and going to be good in the NBA Giannis is from a family that emigrated to Greece and fought for everything in their life because nothing was handed to them Their draft position says a lot on why one decided to grind and keep getting better for his family & why the other just coasted to get his "spotlight of fame"

His assists numbers doesn't even reflect the way he generates plays or set the tempo. CP can have only 5 assists yet you can still feel the way he sets the tempo and being a floor general while you don't get that feeling with Simmons no matter how many assists that he got.

They know the Sixers just hit their ceiling, and it's way too low. Charles is right. Ever since he started in philly, we've been talking about his shooting. for 3-4 years that's what the narrative of his game has been. Now, we are questioning his aggressiveness, which is even worst. Shaq was a terrible free throw shooter, but at least he was aggressive and would attack the rim.

Is it something wrong with the culture of the team? Markelle Fultz got the yips, and now Ben Simmons can't take a shot? Besides that one guy who wouldn't fly on planes, and even that didn't affect his on-court performance, I don't remember the last time I saw a guy in the NBA struggle so hard mentally to the point where he doesn't even look like he belongs on a professional basketball court.

@@Alexander_Grant I agree with both points. He needs a sports therapist and there is prob something wrong with the culture of the team. Look at least year with Doc Rivers and the Clips. @@crazeegrlproductions By no means do I think Doc is a good coach, but he wasn't coaching when Markelle Fultz had his problems. I'm wondering what the constant is between Fultz and Simmons. So maybe someone in the front office is putting unnecessary pressure on them, or maybe the whole Philly sports atmosphere. It's just odd the last two players with serious mental blocks to their game happened in Philly. 100 percent he needs a sports therapist though. Not a huge fan of the 76ers, but I always root for the LSU guys. Even though he didn't really do much for us when he was down here, I'd really like to see him have more success in the NBA.

@SelfMade 128 Ben is afraid to shoot because he can't shoot. He can't shoot mid-range shots and if he attempts shots at the basket, he is going to get fouled and he can't make his free throws. He needs to change the mechanics of his shot and then he will be able to shoot better, especially from the free throw line. For example, Lonzo changed his shot and he improved significantly.

Ben gets most of his points in transition and transition baskets decrease during the playoffs. Shaq needs to broaden his idea of "shooting" to "ability to put the ball in the basket". Shaq had post moves as his half court scoring package, Giannis's problem was that he had no half court moves, now he's a slightly below average spot up shooter in the half court to go along with his straight line drives to the basket. Ben has NO half court offense what so ever, he didn't at LSU, and you can't be a top player on a Championship team if you have no half court scoring package.
