An internship at WOTC seems the perfect way to prepare people for the experience of a full employee being underpaid and overworked.

To all you prospective workers at WotC...be prepared to be paid less than industry avg in just about any job at WotC outside upper management. Why? Because it's people's dream jobs and they are willing to take less just to work at WotC. Those looking to advance their career and be paid what they're worth will not except less than industry avg. Also, WotC has a lovely history and current psuedo policy of under staffing various depts, so be prepared to either work harder than avg or get the blame for things outside your control.

Man oh man it’s my dream to work as an artist at WoTC. I’m working very hard on my website and portfolio to hopefully get an internship next summer, do you have any advice for portfolios for someone who wants to be involved in card art, book covers, etc. ? Your internship videos get me very excited !
