I was a Catholic until hundreds of priests and bishops were found to be pedophiles and that the church knew it and covered it up and still don’t want any to be imprisoned. I could not bear to be a Catholic after that. What is more evil than a pedophile priest. Two hundred in Boston alone. To top it off the priest isn’t even looking into why so many and not nearly that many in other Christian religion. Many pedophile priests live at the Vatican and are being “treated”. Just think they took holy communion. You have to be evil to do that and then rape children time after time. Priests should be allowed to marry and have children. Perhaps they don’t understand the love for a child.

Benedict XVI saw firsthand the chaos during the last years of JPII and he was the one forced to face and attempt to clean up the mess when he took over. He probably didn't want to rot while alive in office in front of the world like his predecessors did and it was a favor to his successor that he'd inherit a church that wasn't on autopilot.

I find that it is irresponsible to ask of any person to fulfil a role “until you die”, but in reality, that is what is expected of you when you accept the role of the pontiff. Pope John Paul II was a dying man in the last years of his life and as such he was not capable of really fulfilling his role as Pope, and I believe that that is one of the main reasons why Pope Benedict decided to go, while the going was good. Why doesn’t the Vatican make rules to protect the Pope from having to work until he drops ? It's been 9 years since Pope Francis was selected to be the current successor of Saint Peter and the Vicar of Christ. Ever since he became Pope, some Catholic Christians see him in a negative way and see him as dangerous, misleading and potentially a wolf in sheep's clothing. But other Catholic Christians like myself see him as a inspirational role model of Christianity and gives out messages of hope and inspiration. One of my cousins used to be a Catholic Christian but he doesn't practice his faith anymore. The reason why he's not considered a practicing Catholic Christian, because of the sexual abuse scandals committed by priests and he doesn't think that Pope Francis will cleanse the church at all. But I disagree with him. And as much I like to convince him to renew his Catholic Christian faith, I'm not going to at all. Instead I'm going to pray for him that he does renew his Catholic Christian faith. Now I know that the Catholic Christian faith and church has been tainted and corrupt many times by previous Popes like Pope Alexander VI and others and some people have walked away from the faith but the Catholic Christian faith is a good religious system.

If an organisation like the Catholic Church asigns false values to the words it uses, then people accept these values as their standard, then they have given up control over their own capacity to value life correctly. Words only ever represent the actual deeper reality of life behind them. A simple example of this is the word granted. We can take life for granted, or we can recognise that life is being granted to us. The first meaning of taking life for granted is disrespectful to where life really comes from. The second example of the exact same word gives us the capacity to know the truth of life, that it is an incredible gift. A gift is also the same as a present. Taking life for granted means we can never accept life in the present moment of the gift it is. Please show me where the Catholic Church teaches these same higher simple life principles in a straightforward, correct way that gives life its correct values? The real meaning of the term Christ means to shine, to glow with a higher enlightenment that stands out above others, so they are noticed and taken notice of. Like a diamond shines brighter than a normal piece of plain rock. Sadly Christianity by falsisyimg the truth inherrnt in the meanings of words has lost touch with the simple basic reality of life, a reality that when explained even to a little child, they can easily comprehend is true. Adulteration is the way adults change things like words to suit their own agendas, then by complicating life to suit that agenda have created false religions, just like Catholicism has established itself as an authority, in a place it has no right to occupy. Only a fool would accept Catholicism when explained to them for the first time, but someone indoctrinated over many years seems to think these ilogical doctrines really are part of what being connected to god through their group means. If you have accepted these lies, then you have sadly given up the higher truth and value of life, to be part of an ilogical darkness that has no light at its dead end!
