oh that was the worst explanation of knife crime ever we know what he was trying to say but that was devastatingly bad did he mention a shield?! why my dude London has had gangs way before grime and they have always been the working class the firm is my go-to because they were gangsters who were treated well by the public and the infamous Kray twins but crime was more organised back then and it was business like the mafia smash in your windows Monday night Wednesday or Thursday night I come around offering protection at a cost anyone who messes with your business suddenly disappears or has a nasty accident the money is made clean through cash-in-hand business or shady business club bouncers and construction jobs you'll have a bunch of people on the books who never show up for work but are getting paid whilst immigrants do the cheap labour classic gangster stuff we had that in London, we have that all over London and some of those old men are still around what happened is crime got disorganised we no longer had gangsters but thugs small groups of individuals trying to make money through the underworld but like any firm, there are only so many places on the roster an now you have freelance crime the police start to crack down on crime ... there was a racial element to it the old boys retire or go legit through nightclubs etc an the new face of poverty are the children of migration put people forget "you gotta pick a pocket or two" Oliver Twist was in organised crime, that's what that song is about
