I think the tutorial is missing some steps. I am stuck on a page that is asking me for an "Anchor" which is clearly not described in the video. The author just jumps straight to adding the hardware wallet through the app. No wonder other commenters are saying they might as well sell their ICP.

You create the anchor first: in a pc using a pin, go to settings/security in your windows 10 and set up a pin, then when you create the anchor this pin is used as a password to login in the icp dapp

I have just sent some ICP to the account, connected with a ledger. I can see the transaction under the wallet number but I can't see this amount on the balance. Why ?

Hey! I'm trying to add a hotkey to a neuron but I get the error message "There was an error with the hardware wallet. A ledger error happened during signature. "Data is invalid : Unexpected value" (code 27012)". Any solution?

I was able to create and NNS wallet and transfer 1 ICP as a test and two questions (1) is the NNS wallet only place I am able to see my ICP (i.e. can I see on ledger live)? and (2) NNS only show the amount of ICP in the wallet an not the market value of the holdings - is there a limitation in that respect? I figured it out but you have to make a nns identity. I didn't want to because I like being anonymous. Basically you typme in nns crypto in Google make identity through their neuro system and you get a wallet you can transfer to cold storage

You should be able to create a transaction directly from the NNS (New Transaction) if you have liquid ICP. If it is locked in a nueron, first you have to dissolve it, then you can send it to any wallet that accepts ICP.

You have to have a internet identity through xfinity as of right now I'm staying on exchange with my icp only.

It's not an actual identity. It's attaching your devices as your identity

@Difinity, I made an Internet Identity nns account and keep trying to add my Ledger Nano X but it keeps saying (Access denied to use the ledger device.) I don't know what to do to connect it so I can send my ICP to my Ledger. I tried both the firefox and chrome browsers on my windows laptop and I can't add my Ledger Nano X on either. I go to my ICP app on my Ledger to connect and it won't. Do you know how I fix this problem?

Having same issue. I can create the ICP app on my ledger but unable to create an account on ledger live. Been trying to find the fix through the community but that’s pretty much non existent, I’ve even tried dfinity openchat but if you do manage to speak to someone in the community, no one has any clue. Furthermore, I cannot add my Mac as a trusted device. Feels like the project isn’t really ready for any sort of real adoption, that’s my feeling anyway

this is way too much and cumbersome for users. Go with a more seamless approach like other popular blockchains. This is currently and epic fail.
