Answer to Neville's question- During the Roman era, one year consisted of 10 months and 304ish days and New years was celebrated in March. When Julius Caesar invented the Julian calender he stated January as first month as it is named after two-faced Greek god Janus, god of doors, Caesar thought it would be appropriate for name sakes worth for entering into a new year.
