I just discovered this band, and I am in complete awe! This is a hybrid of Distillers, Rancid, and Joan Jett...3 of my top favorite bands. I am beyond impressed... The Interrupters are my new favorite band!!

These guys are a really good live band. Her voice has that Joan Jett sort of attitude. Yes, it's musically a punk-ska band, but if you see them live their energy is infectious. In Birmingham, AL, in front of a crowd that knew nothing of them, within a few songs they had the entire audience singing back the lyrics, doing extended vocal choruses to let the crowd learn the words and chant them back. They were almost as enjoyable to watch as the band they opened for, the Dropkick Murphys. Almost, that is. ;)

More or less 7 years ago they where supporting green day. I Remember the irritation, wanting them to Finnish the set so I can see green day. I think the funny thing is that they're making music and songs to feed a King of Babylon. It is what it is though, everyone's out to make their own way and money. Can't kick a band for trying to make a buck. However it is ironic to sing about them paying a dime to make a buck when bands do it with Merch, and records, and ticket sales.
