New Thinking Allowed with Jeffrey Mishlove

Күн бұрын

James G. Matlock, PhD, an anthropologist, is coauthor (with Erlendur Haraldsson) of I Saw a Light and Came Here: Children's Experiences of Reincarnation. He is a regular contributor to the online Psi Encyclopedia sponsored by the Society for Psychical Research in London. He has authored dozens of academic papers concerning reincarnation and related areas.
Here he presents some of his own original research examining published reincarnation cases in which children were able to remember identifiable past lives -- and also recall the intermission period between lives. He notes that, on occasion, these memories contained veridical elements. He also found that there were distinct differences among eastern and western cultures. Reports from near-death experiences seem consistent with those of reincarnation cases.
New Thinking Allowed host, Jeffrey Mishlove, PhD, is author of The Roots of Consciousness, Psi Development Systems, and The PK Man. Between 1986 and 2002 he hosted and co-produced the original Thinking Allowed public television series. He is the recipient of the only doctoral diploma in "parapsychology" ever awarded by an accredited university (University of California, Berkeley, 1980).
(Recorded on November 13, 2017)

Jeffrey really did a great job of countering his point that it's more like a stte of mind than a place, clearly the incredibly idiosyncratic and specific similarities are far more powerful than any inevitable differences

While on DMT I met this angelic entity. She said we were friends before I was born. Before I was a human! I felt like I did know her as soon as I seen her memories just flowed into me. We were good friends in the prelife/prenatal experience.

Here in this world, we "see" (perceive) what we want to see. We "hear" (understand) what we want to hear. We "believe" (conceive) what we want to believe. At this very second there are over seven billion "realities" being played out here on this planet. One for each man , woman, and child here. The "afterlife" is no different.

My daughter is one of these children but we've never reported it. I will be making a video with my wife in the next week as she took extensive notes as to what my daughter told us, from my death in a past life from a gunshot wound i have a birth mark from, and watching my wife's birth accurately describing her great grandmother's cloths

IN one reincarnation story of our area in central india. THE child took rebirth in nearby town knows about hidden treasure. When the past family came to know they come to take the child back to their family. So the present family negotiated and divided the treasure which was hidden in thier field. And interesting point about this story is that the old life of person is as BRAHMAN and new life as BRAHMAN'S rival caste Jaina.

Tom Campbell, author of My Big Toe, agrees that a soul can go into an existing baby. The way he explains this is that possibly the soul who took that body originally changed its mind and another soul stepped in for the experience.

I worked on remembering several lifetimes, most I was Catholic, all but one were in Europe and I'm born to a Shea Muslim family in the middle east in this life. I have no attachment to any religion now and I wonder how life would be after death for someone like me who has 0 believes in religious nonsense. I do believe thou that the consciousness keeps manifesting after death, meaning I could manifest heaven or hell, Christ or Mohammed ... In this life, I work on clearing my heart from guilt and attachment, and I only intend to create peace. What you found here proofs to me people manifest what they believe and expect.

QUESTION: If, after our passing, we choose not to be reborn, and if we are not 'forced' to be reborn - can we remain where we are in the spiritual realm (whether on Earth, in a spiritual form or in the 'heavenly' realm, again, in a spiritual form) indefinitely? Have there ever been instances when a deceased human entity has ever conveyed through a medium or other channeler that s/he has decided to never return? In short, I am asking if we have any evidence for free will in the spiritual realm or are we perpetually compelled or forced to return as a physical creature here on Earth? Is the spiritual realm so boring, intolerable or unsatisfying that over time that all spirits who can, choose to be physical again? I must say, as a somewhat jaded physical being of 50 years, that this Earthly life does not seem, at least from this vantage point, to be all that great a prize. Unless, as I've posed, the spiritual realm eventually gets old and coming back into the physical is highly desirable. The thought of being "forced" to 'recycle' is also very disturbing to me. Maybe if that is the case, we choose to return of our own volition and choice before someone does the choosing for us. I have some kind of VERY VERY VERY fuzzy / distant memory of feeling enraged at the thought of being forced to return as a human being again before my birth. This is not a specific memory... it is VERY fuzzy... and it could be connected to basically anything in my life... an early dream... anything. But it is there... I have always felt it... and I associate it with being returned against my will. This material is certainly interesting - in the end, who really knows what the truth of the actual experience is? The most interesting part is that one day we will all get to see for ourselves. Mr. Mishlove, thank you for hosting and sharing such well done, important and thought provoking materials.

I think Helen Wambach's book "Life before Life" from 1979 can shed some light on this question. She did reincarnation research based on hypnotic regression on hundreds of subjects, always applying the same strict methodology. In the book, people were regressed to the time right before starting the rebirth process and were later asked to fill a questionnaire with a number of predefined questions (free text answers). Two of these questions were whether the subjects decided themselves to be reborn or not and whether they had advice from or discussions with other entities on that question. As far as I remember, the majority of subjects answered the two questions affirmatively. But it also became pretty clear from the answers that there was often skepticism or reluctance about being reborn up to strong opposition in some cases, and there were also subjects who said that they had no choice whatsoever. It seems that many of the subjects would have rather preferred to stay where they were, but always got somehow convinced or persuaded ("it will be good for you") or in some cases even strongly pressed to be reborn. I also remember an interview with the author somewhere on KZbin where she said something like that the choice was often more like the choice to become a soldier for national service: where you have to make that choice officially, but where there isn't really an alternative to saying "yes". However, it seems from the book that the subjects at least did apparently have some degree of freedom in their choices on several other aspects, where there were several options to choose from, such as their sex.

daabgrafx That's like saying that if we had free will, it should never be possible here in this life that any other people or external circumstances have any influence or effect on us. Or if we would really have free will, then we should be able to move all the chess pieces in every way we ever like, for example, move a pawn backwards or a queen to a position outside of the board. Strangely, I'm experiencing myself under constant external influence and effect and requirements to comply with all kinds of rules, laws and conventions, but still consider myself perfectly free without the slightest restriction, nor can I even imagine how it would ever be possible to remove my free will.(?)

daabgrafx. We could compare the attraction to this level of experience (gross material) to an alcoholics attraction to bars. Free will is simply the decision to "undo" the attraction to destructive and dysfunctional "places". When this attraction is undone this level of existence will no longer be interesting to us. In other words: No more "incarnations" and bars ;)

matt wood you have free will Matt! This is a universal spiritual law. It's up you what you do after you die. Now the more complex issue is your BELIEFS and MINDSET when you die. It all depends literally what you believe the afterlife is. If you expect re-incarnation you will go though that smoothly. If you don't you'll have to learn shit that you should have learnt in lifetimes on earth in the afterlife. Now the afterlife process is well understood actually, particularly in the Spiritist culture from Brazil, they have many films and hundreds of books, all channelled directly from the afterlife. Now if you want to know what happens if you choose not to reincarnate read the book " the afterlife of Billy fingers". He choose not the reincarnate and merge directly back to "God". Now if you want to know what happens In the after life I would start with the afterlife books by Michael Newton like life between lives. You must read and understand these books immediately!!! You don't want to die with incorrect beliefs and end up falling for what reality you create after life your misguided beliefs create for you!!! Decide now what life you want next or not. I also suggest taking some entheogens like LSD, DMT, shrooms. And also try your absolute best to have a controlled NDE which is an OBE. There is nothing stopping you right now visiting the afterlife right now. The books by Jurgen Ziewe are great and explain his trips to the after life via OBE. All the information is there if you are willing to take it.

Matt Wood,my answer to your question will be,that despite enjoying our existence on spiritual plane,we will feel need,necessity of our next reincarnation,which to our understanding will contribute to our moral and intellectual progress.Good news is ,that after reaching certain level of our progress,reincarnation will not be necessary for us anymore,and we can stay and progress more on spiritual plane.However we still can reincarnate voluntary ,as a sort of a special mission,to help with evolution/progress of our less evolved brothers and sisters on physical plane.

QHHT (doloress cannons work,) has found discarnate entities that lodge themselves in people bodies, usually in places that have been causing the patients much discomfort and other health issues While people are hypnotised they are able to locate and talk to the expression of these entities themselves and they usually tell them what happened to them to make them end up there in the first place, fascinating stuff

In a way, there is no reason to believe reincarnation is mandatory. The majority of these cases were of children right, who had only spent a short while in this universe before getting killed, and thus were still tied to a recent decision (or whatever) to spend a lifetime here. Naturally, the intent could be expected to be to get back here and try to "play again" as soon as possible.

I know your a complete stranger but I have ascertained from your comment I could write this to you, I have always thought that too, but after I have pondered and smoked on this thought a plethora of times, this scenario... we all know Kronos is waiting for us, a few things have made me think twice then thrice and it seems the older I get the more it crosses my mind, one can really feel anxiety if any amount of energy goes into it, I don't do that but now at 60 having had the last 3 decades blow by like a jet, and thinking things like I was just changing my son's diapers and it became 14 years later in the blink of an eye, I realize my own mortality more and more but it has benefits like making me realize that I am gonna fight it! The human body can take a pounding but once it starts to go south it will go fast if something isn't done fast, been there now doing that, feel great, but we know it's still coming, I've realized 2 major things 1. Forever is a long long time, the thought of going through just another life & death let alone an endless cycle on earth, well, is that an option A or mandatory? Is there an option B? Do we graduate ever? Cuz life is beautiful well, it can be but death sucks, having my heart broken sucks donkey balls, I dunno, I might not be itching to want to go through that again, -right away, a sabbatical will be needed, I dunno maybe fly around the universe for a few hundred years, Lol or at least years, like I said forever is a very long time, there has to be a next level? I think so, but reincarnation would be constant life in the matter for maybe 10 decades if you're lucky, then have to die, AGAIN, Dying looks like it hurts! Lol but is there going to be any other options? I dunno maybe some grand experience of 100-year party tour through the universe or something? I hope so, that resides in the realm of no pain or sorrow or Heartbreak?

When I think of all the variations of personalities and lives on this planet that I have encountered over just short of 77, years and then this nice man lasers in one or two things - I don’t know - and to add to the complexity what about all the dogs, cats etc and so on - Now that being said, I channel, (for lack of a better word) thru Visual Art, I paint or draw, etc. pictures of coming events/political, religious, individual composition, of their nationalities again, etc. and unlike a “palm reader”, I have a picture to show what’s “coming down” - I have always loved theoretical physics- this has helped me enormously in my understanding, to give credence to ambiguity - light is the first manifestation of “matter” - when science split that photon and separated the two half’s 14, miles apart then prodded or poked one and the other one 14, miles away shook - was because both halves were electromagnetically (for lack of a better word) at the same frequency like a radio, the radio is tuned at a particular frequency the sender is tuned at the same frequency and the space in between (dark matter) is the conduit; the dark matter is a fully charged electromagnetic manifestation - Science does not understand this, yet but if they read this they will - With the exception of Nassim Harriman and perhaps a couple here or there - It’s impossible to have unmanifested “space” within a “world” of the manifested - (a no brainer, pun intended). (UNDERSTANDING IS THE KEY THAT UNLOCKS THE DOOR TO THE MAGIC)

I get what are called visitation dreams. I always thought they just sat around and sometimes came around. I will get a visit within a year or two after death but then sometimes little social visits where I get told things or warning of things. Sometimes they just say hi. I get these from pets as well. One cat was a stray who I cared for till he had cancer. A few years after he died I had a dream where he came to me to tell me he was being reincarnated. I was surprised and he showed me a very clear snapshot mental image of a young adult or teenage middle eastern looking man with freckles and gap toothed or missing teeth. He did not look attractive to me. (Sorry Viggo.) He looked very average and very scruffy looking, maybe even slightly goofy. Another year or so passed and I had another dream where I was holding my cat Viggo again, only on his back in my arms like he was a baby and he was superimposed into the same space as a human baby (they were merging). After a few moments his cat image faded away and I was just holding the baby on it's back in my arms close to my heart as one would a baby.

For the sake of bringing forward new perspective. Reincarnation could be relabeled as separation experience in order manage/ succed our re-union of the human (self) template as co-creator with our source infinite ENERGY/ consciousness to co create as (selfless). we are every energetic frequencies of DNA/consciousness experience eventually working their way back to one source experiencing it all at once at the same time and space. Our mind mostly focus on the one entity we see as being self yes we are that and so much more linked to all that is. all explainations including the projected one above is only a mere limiting interpretation of something that can only be experienced through the activation of ALL our energy centers and pur pure cosmic heart energy.

It''s estimated by some to be about 1/3 the length of the life lived here, a review in which all of it is accessible and put before you. All memories accessible, all offenses toward others experienced for oneself. This is an idea expressed by certain Masons who were prominent in the early 20th century, many of their spiritualistic beliefs rooted in eastern philosophies and records. I don't know much about the origins they passed this from.

I must say that this is one of the most "incoherent" interviews that I have viewed recently; the interviewee rambled from "one side of the information highway to the other" throughout, making it hard to follow along. Mr. Mishlove's "statement" (vs. questions) frequently caused Mr. Matlock to stop, think, and then frequently refute/correct the statement - this further ran the train off the tracks. My complete takeaway from this is: 1)more males than females have memories of reincarnation, 2) there are some "global vs. cultural" similarities in those who reincarate (though this was not delved into very deeply) and 3) the "intermission times", primarily of Asians vs. everyone else. This information could have been put forth in 15 minutes or less, if offered in a cohesive manner. I found the topic welcoming but the delivery of information, painful.... I will think carefully before I listen to another lecture on this channel.

I think the divine light if a Hindu sees ,he terms it Krishna and if Christian spirits see it it terms it as Jesus.Similarly Angels for Christians may be termed as deities by Hindus because of local cultural influences.These influences are carried by subconscious mind during our life and even after our physical lives.This proves same divine light can be called Krishna ,Jesus,waheguru, prophet and so on based on our cultural influences.

Logically, psychokinesis is impossible. Mind cannot affect matter. Planck stated, "matter is derivative from Consciousness." Axiomatic to Consciousness is Perception In Consciousness. It IS possible to affect Perception In Consciousness with Consciousness. It's how you feed the multitudes...

My pregnancy happened when 2 contraception methods failed. Not one. Two. It was like hitting a jackpot, same odds, except, I didn’t want him and went to abort my son. Twice. My mom made a scene and prevented my decision and I myself just couldn’t go with it. Had an unexplained change of heart. I had a dream of lots of sex like most pregnant woman but one dream that was VERY creepy was of a plane crash on top of a major jungle such as amazon. My son is now 9 and since age 5, obsessed with airplanes and flying and all that. I have developed a severe fear of flying to a point that I cannot even go for jobs that involve flying. I grew up flying all the time since early childhood and never have I had such a pathological fear. As if pregnancy changed that about me. It doesn’t make any sense. Around age 3, for a while, he would get into praying pose begging “ please don’t let me die, I don’t want to die “ etc all looking very spooky. He truly was in pain during these praying and begging sessions. I think he got over them around age 4 but the whispers was constant. We are atheists so it’s not like my son had ever seen anyone praying but he had hand gesture of praying when he was doing this weird act. I’m convinced we live in a pre programmed matrix. Most likely job of highly sophisticated aliens. We are memory bits connected to a mother quantum computer. I’ve seen too many evidence already.

if souls get to pick their sex before being born, like a boy or a girl, then why on earth would anyone ever choose to be born handicapped, with down's syndrome or some other malady like so many children are born with? makes me skeptical.
@eloradanan1837
@eloradanan1837 5 жыл бұрын
One reason might be that in the immediate prior life the soul inhabited a body that was born into wealth, privilege and great beauty. Perhaps in that life they found the handicapped disgusting, or abused them mentally or physically. After leaving this privileged life, either guides, or the soul itself, determined that they did not learn enough about empathy and understanding of others. In an effort to expand its awareness, the soul chooses to incarnate into a body with physical or mental limitations. If Earth is indeed a soul school, there is no better way to learn than walking a mile in someone else's shoes.

IN MY PREVIOUS LIFE I DIED ON THE BATTLEFIELDS OF FRANCE DURING WW2,AS A FRENCH SOLDIER. I WAS BORN TO A CAREER US ARMY ENLISTED MAN IN AN ARMY HOSPITAL IN PARIS FRANCE.WE MOVED TO FORT BENNING GEORGIA 2 YEARS LATER. I HAVE A SMALL CAFE AU LAIT BIRTHMARK THAT LOOKS LIKE A BULLET WOUND ON MY LOWER ABDOMEN. WHILE DRIVING IN THE SOUTH OF FRANCE WHILE ON VACATION FROM MY POST IN GERMANY WITH THE AIR FORCE, I HAD A PROFOUND FEELING OF DEJA VU WHILE DRIVING TO BIARRITZ FRANCE.I LOVE THE FRENCH NATIONAL ANTHEM LE MARRISELLES.

Strange but true, right?!. I had prolonged dreams over a couple of years giving glimpses of a young partisan at the beginning of Germany’s campaign into Ukraine. The dreams only stopped once I saw an Officer kicking his body over to make sure he was dead. I realised in that instance “I” was dead and simultaneously dreaming, so I went elsewhere and the dreams stopped. Ironically, I was reborn into a war zone of domestic violence!. It has taken this life, and will probably take many others to deal with power differentials and controlling my own reactive emotions.

The only thing I'm aware of in my consciousness AFTER trying to listen to this speakers, is the very strained nature of his uhhhh, eeeeee, eh eh uhhhhhh, uuheeeehhh, uhhh eeeeeh, eeeeuhhh... voice. For anyone who watched the whole thing (I could not; for the overwhelming abundance of pre-vomit sounds coming from the guest) did the guest ever finally GET OUT what he seemed he could NOT get out throughout the "interview"? Maybe we should all thank Christianity for delivering us from being tied to the terrestrial plane? Unlike in the east, apparently, we now have the transcendental understanding of other worlds waiting for us. What began with a conception of paradise and hell has evolved into the cultural idea of the multi-realm astral "existence band". I often think of C.S. Lewis or J.R.R. Tolkien and their contribution to letting us imagine worlds onthologically seperated from this universe. The challenge at this point seems to be getting off the reincarnation threadmill. As for me personally, meeting Christ isn't important (although I have nothing against the guy), and deceased family members in heaven I would mostly prefer not having to bother, since they are bound to feel embarrasment when they peek into the shameful lusts of my soul. I'm neither a big fan of "white light", nor am I into the cleansed, moralistic tone of "spirituality". I just don't get what's exciting about that 'nothing'. My love belongs to a blue liquid light and I want to go somewhere beauty-sensual where I can dive into warm sex-love, not "spirituality". In other words, all of that which I was starved of when forced to live the stoic, moralistic, hard life of a subhuman male on this cold and increasingly uglified, forsaken earth.

I am really interested in this subject, but this man is dreadful to get through, he says Ah way too much, stammers, dithers and never really says anything. I mean no disrespect I really want to know more but I cannot take more than 20 minutes of listening to this guy's lack of speaking skill! Take classes for heavens sake! I do that's why I know, if your gonna speak then learn how to speak damn it! Disapointed here, but I understand sometimes it just be like that. Lol
