Kinds Of Kindness, starring Emma Stone, Willem Dafoe, Jesse Plemons, Hunter Schafer, Hong Chau, and more, is yet another uniquely strange film from the mind of Yorgos Lanthimos. Kinds Of Kindness will see Emma Stone, Willem Dafoe, Jesse Plemons, Hunter Schafer, Hong Chau, and more, in three separate yet loosely connected stories all set in modern New Orleans. Kinds Of Kindness seems to be yet another intriguingly twisted tale from Yorgos Lanthimos.

Anthology movies are not common? Hell, man, you should look up Euro horror films in the 60s and 70s, there's tons of anthology movies. The House That Dripped Blood, Asylum, Tales From The Crypt. Black Sabbath, Dr. Terror's House of Horrors. Then of course the US has Creepshow I and 2 and Twilight Zone: The Movie and Trilogy of Terror.

“Some of them want to use you. Some of them want to get used by you. Some of them want to abuse you. Some of them want to be abused." THAT IS FUNNY? THAT IS KINDNESS? NO, NO, NO!!!!!!!!!!! "Sweet Dreams", 1983, Annie Lennox described it as "hopeless and nihilistic" and Dave Stewart, the other part of the duo said the line "hold your head up, moving on" was added to make it more uplifting. We assume no dog was actually harmed while Emma was using ice in a form of "premeditated abuse" as one reviewer put it.

Oh sweetie, bless your heart. There are over 90+ anthology American English movies alone. Perhaps do a little more research next time before posting a video on social media.

Buster Scruggs was another anthology. I also saw Freaky Tales at Sundance. It was purchased by Lionsgate and should be getting distributed sometime this year but no release date yet. I liked both of these but anthology films typically don’t resonate too deeply with me. If anyone could do it, it would be Yorgos.

Probably an anthology that slipped your mind: Pulp Fiction. It's very easy to forget it's an anthology because of the character crossover

@@aloisflynn2003 It's definitely worth a rewatch. It came out when I was 10, but I don't think I watched it until I was 20. It's probably one of the films I watched the most. It's up there with Back to the Future with re-watchability. Also the idea of a pulp-noir story anthology really makes Kinds of Kindness an appealing movie to put on my watchlist.

Did you have to mention that Joe Alwyn previously dated TS? It’s time this actor is appreciated for his much deserved acting merits and not tagged with that personal connection. They broke up over a year ago and this was not relevant and should not be relevant when referencing him. Otherwise, I found your review to be very interesting. I am excited to see this movie too.🎥🍿😆

@@aloisflynn2003I just subscribed to your channel. 😀 Joe Alwyn has two other movies coming out including “The Brutalist” and “Hamlet”. It would be great if you decide to review these movies to not reference TS. It just happens too much and the actor has made great efforts not to benefit from that past connection. I also want to mention that Joe Alwyn and his family are pro Palestinian activists. He is one of a few actors willing to use their fame to call for a ceasefire in Palestine. This would be a better mention about him as an aside.

"Kinds of Kindness" brings probably my favorite Emma Stone scene, ever, it is when Hannah picks up Jacob in a bar and they go home and have a bedroom scene that shows more love, caring and kindness than ever. He says, "Will you do me a kindness?" and apparently it now means abuse, at least to Emma and her funny muse director. Rated R by the Motion Picture Association “for strong/disturbing violent content, strong sexual content, full nudity and language.” AND THAT IS FUNNY!!!!!!!
