My experience was that Brotherhood felt like I was watching how the events unfolded in a prime universe, and the original Fullmetal Alchemist series took place in an alternate reality where terrible things happened to characters that never should have, with a bad (as in a negative video game due to player choices) ending that felt like everyone was denied their true destiny. Brotherhood felt like the pilot was correcting fate, the who’s thing was cathartic for me. This is what happens when their entire manga is complete before toy develop an amine. Creators don’t get to take liberties with an unfinished plot.

I watched the og back then 2004-2007 during Saturday nights adult swim and saw this later during college. I love both but fmab is honestly better just cuz will written narrative just fits so well and pacing was great. The other was like a pilot but Is also cool unique way with animation and story. they’re both good. Brotherhood is best in my opinion
