I would argue you need to be an introvert to become spiritually enlightened so you can be an authentic extrovert, instead of living in delusion.

Yea I'd second this, introverts tend to get to know them selves much easier, both mentally and spiritually. We also tend to be able to tame the ego much faster.

He shook but he did well the best he could an introvert number 1 fear is someone will take advantage of their naivety, and feels like those kind of ppl belong in hell. That’s why he’s introverted, strong morale scale. Everyone makes mistakes but that’s why his afraid of running a business . He’s not a smooth talker but he has endured abuse from his father..and wants to own a business one day. Deep down inside we all want peace and love and the only way we can do that is through love integrity

Tai from a 1-100 scale i would say that Im a 25. On the lower end. I am working on my social anxiety and adoption of better ways to live. I changed my diet from abdomen pain. Ive changed my social approaches from rejection and loneliness. Its very easy to slip back and I do but i am picking myself up a lot faster than before sometimes in seconds. It has been a solid 3 weeks of positive pushing and Im building intertia. Getting out of my head and doing flurries of action has helped tremendously and people are noticing the change in me. Thank you

Most people are completely lost when it comes to extroversion and introversion. There’s a new personality system called Objective Personality which combines Carl Jung’s cognitive functions with Tony Robbins human needs. It explains introverted processing vs extroverted processing in much greater detail. If you actually want to understand what’s going on with the human psyche and why certain people are more introverted or extroverted than others, then check it out.

@@alexisbobby3213 you can be an “extrovert” with anxiety, but “introverts,” which are people who live in the shadows because they believe their social status isn’t as important, so they will happily label them selves as introverts rather than overcoming their anxieties. Your friends may be extroverts with some anxiety, but they don’t hide behind their anxiety. That’s the whole reason why they’re taking the public speaking classto begin with.

mmm, I'd say you're a bit off, I'm an introvert but I'm not stubborn at all, I'm always open to learning and doing new things, however when it comes to learning I just learn better on my own at my own pace and not in a study group, not saying I don't like the idea of mentors, in fact I do, always great to have someone more knowledgeable to ask questions of, but it's a difference of classroom setting vs my own learn at home with books or audio books type of way. Or in the case of doing for example, I can tell you I learned 5x faster on how to become a good cook, making a bunch of my own recipes, making mistakes, and correcting those mistakes in my own house, then I did taking a formal cooking class.

I love the meta framework you proposed of “adaptable” and “non-adaptable”, and I think it will be the litmus test for who will win and who will lose the coming decades. However, I think you’re unintentionally distorting Carl Jung’s work. For those that are unaware, the “Myers-Briggs 16 personalities” were built on-top of Jung’s “Four Sides of the Mind” cognitive framework. Through Jung’s psychoanalytical practice, he was able to deduce the human mind to “8 cognitive functions (Ti, Te, Fi, Fe, Ni, Ne, Si, Se). A person’s “personality type” is the order in which their mind “prefers” these cognitive functions. The problem with taking a “Myers-Briggs” test online is that it doesn’t test for the cognitive functions, but the letter dichotomies (I/E, S/N, T/F, P/J). This is where I think you are correct Tai, in pointing out that someone’s introversion could just be social anxiety, subsequently leading to the Myers-Briggs test to falsely labeling the test taker. However, Carl Jung’s work is not the Myers-Briggs. Again, no hate here, for I’m a long time consumer of your content Tai. Just felt a strong obligation to point this out.

(my dad is anxious, had no emotional parental support growing up and I was bullied here & there in school) Grew up in a toxic parental environment so I know that has a lot to do with it. I would say I am a 30 on the scale🤔not sure how to measure that. Bad habits, lack self discipline, personality genetics. I am still learning everyday, reading ect. Taking your 67 steps. Whats one thing I can do to start removing that anxiety/past attached to it?

@@LevivanBregt To conflate introversion with social anxiety is laughable at best. This is a man that is clearly not introverted and has admitted to have very little social anxiety, and yet he is talking as if he is an expert on the matter. Not to mention his understanding of Jung is superficial at best, even doubting if introversion and extroversion is real. @@salty1849 Your argument is non-existant and your comment is wholly ad hominem. Social anxiety can absolutely push someone to withdraw and exhibit introvert traits. Putting too much faith into the absoluteness of descriptive words is the stubbornness Tai mentions, which inhibits one from adapting. Even a PhD student of Jung can be wrong in their understanding, this is typically a result of bias and the lack of critical thinking. I'd encourage you, and anyone really, to listen to people, learn from them - even if it isn't 100% correct, you can still learn perspectives and points of view which may have insights and relevance.
