I never knew that Thom Bell produced any Intruders tunes while they were on the first incarnation of Gamble Records. I love KZbin for us being able to access great vintage music like this...

They didn't get the play they needed on the radio stations or tv shows other than Soul train. You can't find them anywhere else. I was too young. but recognize that today what a really talented group of brothers these guys were, and they stayed together. Not all that ego tripping nonsense seen in other groups. .. I love the music with Bobby Star and Lil Sonny as leads both were great. Lil Sonny's voice is unique and captivating. But I'm loving Bobby Starr too,.. so sad that they never got the credit or light shined on them,... so much talent there but not expanded to their full capacity.. First group for Gamble & Huff and yet they didn't get the attention or devotion as they should have. No pictures during recordings or practice, only pics from LPs/ record albums, that's really messed up... Like your first baby you take lots of pictures... they were Gamble & Huffs ist babies and yet there's no pictures... First babies from the recording label, so where's the pictures from the recording history.

I think Bobby Star's vocal was a bit smoother than Sonny's.

Lil Sonny had a distinct sound.I've never heard another sound like his. That's what made the Intruders unique.Nobody sounded like them or had their Instrumental sound. As soon as a song came on you said that's the Intruders.
