The INVISIBLE Hitbox Glitch in TEKKEN 8 T8 | Bandai Please FIX | Phantom Ghost Hitbox Bug for Tekken 8 T8. Bandai must Fix this Glitch
Here is a video showing how characters can connect Hit Engagers without even touching the opponent. Bandai must fix this problem since Tekken is a competitive game and glitches would be unfair to players. ‪@The_Keyboard_Warrior‬

Heat engages have always been broken. I think it is intentionally because this game relies on heavy offense and it is a way to break the offense

But it is unfair if your opponent could hit you from that far out. Pro players do rely a lot on spacing.

It isnt unfair if everyone has this much reach but kazuya for examole has no reach atball 😅😅

This isn't really a glitch, it's just the heat burst hitboxes being longer than the animations make them look, and it's 100% intended. Whether they should be nerfed or adjusted to more closely match the animation is a matter that can be discussed, but there's no phantom hitbox glitch happening here. There are plenty of other moves in the game that also reach a lot farther than they look like they do.

I don't play Lee, but I encounter a lot of players that try to do a combo that capitalizes on the size of his Heat Burst hitbox and really doesn't look like it should hit. ...thing is, it actually _does_ whiff... a lot.

Tekken 8 in its current state is one big joke I've already had enough I played kazuya and the hitbox doesn't work with this character Just like tracking Opponent

Here is a good explaination and off what is going with hit-/hurtboxes and/or state in VF/Tekken were you can see how they actually look like - if you still not convinced it's a bit funny that you really think you are the first to notice... it will not be fixed, because that is how the game works. And pro player don't relay on knowing if they are exactly that millimeter away... if there is a chance something hits them they either dodge it another way or just block it. kzbin.info/www/bejne/oKK9n5evlpVor8k

If you are not new to Tekken you would know how much that little gap would matter in an intense situation. I feel it is a genuine problem. Why should anyone benefit from a Whiff? Technically it is a whiff.. and a whiff can be launched. So instead of getting launched, the player gets a frame advantage which makes no sense.

Not really a bug glitch - that's just how tekken works. Moves have 'invisible' hitboxes (what the f should a visible hitbox even be?) - hit detection in tekken is part state (like ducking goes under highes - even if hitboxes would connect) and hitbox interaction. Like in other games with hitboxes they can be a bit inside (some stuff misses that is really touching the target object) or outside (stuff connects that isn't touching the object). Sometimes this is more/less visible but as i said it's always there... and usually 'masked' by the speed of the game. Of course their can be broken hitboxes per move/character that are for example to evasive or lead to situations where a combo that is supposed to work not connecting or similar. But that's probably not what you mean...

I am not a developer, but to expain why this is done imho - you make animations based on motion capture, to look good and fit the character model - but this animations are not fitting every opponent model - for example some are to small and would just go under certain moves - but you don't want to make a wonky/inconsistant animation that has the character suddenly punch slower... so you give the move a lower hitbox. It's not really a problem because you don't 'visually' confirm before if an attack is supposed to connect and usually don't notice the the exact moment the models touch, but the hit behaviour like - sounds/hitanimation etc. Usually the only situations i really see that is with the 'bullet times'

It should not trigger a block animation when there is no contact. That means hitbox are not properly made. Remember at the beginning when attacks would connect even if the opponent was behind you. Which made no sense. T7 had much better hitboxes. T8 is all messed up.

@@The_Keyboard_Warrior yes getting hit standing behind was probably a bug. this is probably not... as stated before hitboxes can extend outside the character model. And this should trigger a block animation because in the games logic the attack connects.

@@The_Keyboard_Warrior I see i am not the first mentioning that - just beliefe us long time players - this is how it always has been. There can be bugged hitboxes, but not 100% reaching and counting as hit is to a high probabilty not one of those... regarding the game the hitbox is the reach of the attack.
