Yes but in the recent folder it's all together. I don't want to always search for different specific categories. I want to just have photos taken on the phone separate from "other" media.

His biggest gripe is his struggles with the notification settings. Plus the camera settings can be adjusted. If youre looking for quality photography they should always be taking the phone pictures on raw/max plus the white balancing issues can be adjusted by turning on the exposure adjustment setting under "preserve settings" section in the camera settings. The longer you use the phone the more it will grow on you

I'm sure that it will grow on me, yeah. And I wouldn't say my biggest gripe is notifications. It's the lack of control over basic functionality. You are right, there are certain adjustments you can do on the camera but they're fairly limited even compared to some dirt cheap Androids out there. Of course, when I'm planning on using the shots I take for editing I'll take them in RAW regardless but you still don't get any sort of in app white balance control. And my point was, that while I can edit white balance later, it's dumb to have to do that extra step if you just want to get a quick shot to remember a moment the way it looked irl. Also, preserve settings is fine but that's not a white balance control. It's just a lock on the current white balance you're looking at which might not be ideal next time you open the camera in a completely different environment. A slider or presets is a much more elegant solution to that issue 😅

i was in the same boat. swapping from a 4yr old Galaxy to a iPhone 13 pro. The ONLY reason was the LiDAR hardware that wasn't available on Android. And some specialist Apps are only avail on iPhone. apparently too many OS with various Android systems for developers. The good news- the App paid for the phone in two months the bad news- I still miss the easy functionality of Android. and I'm just finding the hassles dealing with the Health App ... ffs. It feels like I'm using something from 10 yrs ago

Yeah, definitely feels like apps are more polished on the iphone and I totally agree that there are some of them which could potentially make up for the cost of an iPhone on their own. But it will definitely take time to adjust. I still occasionally use my 4+ year old Huawei p30 for certain tasks because it feels so much more intuitive 😅 Also, think the health app on iOS sucks because they want you to get an apple watch to make it work better 😁

I understand. I got an iPhone two months ago and initially, some things bothered me. However, after two months, I stopped caring about those issues. Nowadays, Android and iOS are so similar that you become accustomed to the absence of certain features. It’s not like in the past when a missing function in iOS was critical and affected daily life significantly PS: Has anybody notice that scrolling on android on a web page is much faster that IOS, I feel IOS has some weight around scrolling , for a month it annoyed me so much or is it me only 😂

Yeah I'm sure I'll get used to it. I do think a lot is great about it. Also, it does feel like scrolling is smoother which kind of makes it feel "heavier" I guess 😅

Nah he's complaining about the fact Apple have taken away the ability to disable their "iconic audio" which there is no reason for. And if everyone loved it there wouldn't be a bunch of people, some of which are long time iPhone users, saying how it's dumb af to not be able to control that stuff 😂

My iPhone just stays on silent mode. I just use vibrations for texts and such. Your frustration with it is hilarious though lol You’re definitely missing settings. I haven’t heard the whoosh in years

I will never fully trust someone who has their phone on silent all the time. As far as settings - I wish I was missing them but the reason you haven't heard the woosh is that you're always on silent which I refuse to do 😅

@@bakerfx4968 Nah, I definitely don't have notifications on for every app. But if someone is calling me, considering most people prefer to text these days, then it must be more important so I prefer hearing my phone ring. Stuff like messenger on the other hand is on perma mute on both my PC, old and new phone 😅

On the 15 series it's an action button, not just a silent one. And I've changed it so if I click it I'd just be opening the Blackmagic camera app which doesn't really solve any of the issues I mentioned 😅

He's complaining that every file goes into the recent folder. If it was just the stuff you shoot on your phone going in there that would be fine. But there's no mental gymnastics you can do to justify downloaded media being thrown into the same folder as your photos and videos taken on the phone, which creates chaos and is ridiculous.
