Nice!!! iPhone 6s is amazing still 9 years later it’s still working well. I think iPhone 6s probably has like 2-3 more years of app support but after that I believe more apps will not support an iPhone running on iOS 15. That will basically be the end of iPhone 6s but you most likely will still be able to make calls and text

I bought a 6s one week ago replaced the battery with an extended life battery on standby last 22 hours updated to iOS 15.8.1 its my daily driver light to moderate use works awesome

@@Allthingslife30 I don’t do much uploading but i can for sure watch some videos txt light browsing call people look at social media for awhile im a light to moderate user over night it drains about 7 percent prettty normal

I end my day with 60 to 70 percent so with the extended battery it last a long time keep in mind im a light user a video here social media there txting a call or two look this up look that up great phone super cheap 70 for the phone and 51 plus tax new battery installed

Just a quick note, the 6s came with a physical home button. The haptic touch button started out with the 7.

I’m not 100% sure but I think iPhone 6s has 3D Touch home button and haptic response. After the 6s the 7, and 8 had home button but it wasn’t physical one it was a Haptic Touch button. Then the x series and so on completely removed the home button and relys on haptics.

@@Allthingslife30it has a physical home button (the last one with the button was the first SE) but it has a taptic engine and the first one to have 3D touch. I still have the plus as a backup and this phone is so durable. Dropped it numerous times (twice without a case) and it still works fine. No touch disease, no boot loops. Just a new battery because of old age.

Nice, I like the 6 plus it’s a nice size phone. I’m using my 6s as a backup and I’m impressed by how good it is for a 9 year old phone. It’s on iOS 15.8.1, 2gb of ram , 73% maximum battery capacity, and it still handles tasks well, I can play games of it , record decent videos, and download a bunch of apps. It’s still usable in 2024 especially if you are having money problems , making the iPhone 6s a great budget back up option

How long does the battery last?

Currently this phone has a battery capacity of 73% which last me like 1 hour with heavy gaming and video watching. With a new battery it would probably last 3-4 times as long .

Battery life is bad on these older devices, usually due to it being so old the battery capacity is At %73 which last me around 1 hour with intense gaming and video watching. This phone is good for a backup or if you get it really cheap, just make sure to find one with a good battery like 85% and up!

I still have my old s8+ and it works fine, good condition but stopped receiving security updates in 2020 and full updates before that. I also have an s5 that works fine nothing broken but feels sluggish compared to new phones and newer apps just don’t work

@@Christopherjoenice, I haven’t used android for a long time so I don’t know how the older android phones run in 2024, but what I can say is that I’m impressed with how good the iPhone 6s is in 2024. From calling ,texting, recording videos, surfing the web, downloading apps, etc the phone works well. There’s a lot of apps that are still supported on iOS 15 and ima make another video showing what type of of games and apps can still be used on the iPhone 6s nearly 9 years later. I’m using my 11 pro and to be honest ,aside from the chip processors, iOS 17, battery life, screen resolution, camera, there’s not much of a difference

you can remove animations by enabling reduce motion

It still gets security updates. I updated it a few days ago to iOS 15.8.1 and surprisingly it runs smoothly and a lot of apps are still available in the App Store. I got this iPhone for less than $30 bucks for a backup and it’s worth it in my opinion.
