Isn't it obvious? It can outshine or keep up with newer iPhones since it's got less of a screen to power and pixels to push, many features like Touch ID, and 3D Touch aren't available on the iPod which in theory should save up some of the RAM, and it overall just has less things that can stress the already *powerful* A10 Fusion chip.

I think the reason the iPod is faster is because it has a lot less overhead than the newer iPhones. You mentioned in the video that the 6S was faster than the X and the XR, which doesn't make much sense until you realize how many advancements have been made so far into the lineup. Face ID, NFC, wireless charging, significantly better cameras, better wireless chips, and a whole slew of other features all contribute an effect towards how the device runs. The iPod is even faster because, since it's *not* a phone and as a multimedia device, it doesn't have to support much and still runs perfectly on "older" chips.

It is so simple. Most of your data is synced in your iPhone, but your iPod doesn't have as much data. I don't have that much info in my iPhone X and its really speedy. Also, it's not the boot time that matters, its the performance of what it can do that matters. It's not faster, it just has to load in less. Also, the smaller screen means the animation takes less time to fill the screen with the app.

It's because the iPod only has 2 cores which are also high performance just like the iPhone 6/s so it's essentially going to be using it's full potential at all times unlike the newer iPhone which have 6 cores (4 of them being low power) and 2 perfoance cores so it's not always going to be using 100% of it's potential

I’d guess that the iPhone is using more of its power with cell phone calls and texts and data usage and location map gps and the iPod doesn’t use that much so I’d think that it had more room to work with which makes it faster

Could be that the resources the iPod loads for apps are lower res and thus smaller and easier to load. Graphics for the iPod screen use the 2x scale (with 1x being non-Retina) and most iPhones use a 3x graphics scale nowadays. The apps might be optimized for the iPods as well, having less features to load due to missing iPhone hardware. Also, as another commenter said, iPods do not have low power cores in their chips so they are always full speed. Cool video, making me think!

The ipod is still an extremely powerful device. Yes, its exactly 2x less in Ram/Storage and 3x# of Cpu cores than the iphone 11 but considering its 400S max whereas the iphone is 1,449 Max(so punny of me) I think I will take the smallest, pocketable Apple ipod 7.. Plus it's not even that old in tech and can beat 2015 ipad mini 4 Its the original phone without the phone that can do everything on Wifi only that the iphone 11 can so what's the problem?? XxKing OPZ _SKILLZxX Tbh I would get iphone 7 the small one i paid 480 unlocked the plus is a better way to go more expensive but better battery life n so far ios 12 on this device seems quite smooth haven’t seen any serious issues so far plus iPhone 7 is more likely few more years to be supported for software updates I honestly prefer iPhone mainly do to the fact that ios is more optimized than android currently but this is all my opinion iPhone 7 would be better than the 6 but up to you bro!
