My hubby built dry stane walls and flag stane walls, a dying art now. He wasn't Irish but Scottish, from Caithness. He's been dead now for 20 years, yet his walls still stand

I remember helping the Rattigans bring in their corn in the 60tie in Irishtown Mayo. They had a lovely thatched cottage. I brought the cows from the field for my uncle Matie Sheridan. I loved the country life. The people were so friendly then. So much has changed. I loved Mayo and would have loved to make a life there but alas that was not to be.

I remember about 30 years ago when working on a show at the Abbey Theatre in Dublin, there was a young lad of no more than 16 years old brought in to build a circular wall from dry stone. It took him about a week, and if I remember correctly, he was one of the last his kind, keeping the traditional alive. How he put it together was amazing. And his overall temperament was one of pure patience. Meditative work for sure.

@tonyohalloran8817 Жыл бұрын
@@taraann7753 look into your history... Tea tephi. Please DO NOT equate the modern day jewish race as Israelites. It is a blasphemous lie they use to deceive the whole world. They are edomites, decended from esau/edom. The White race of which Christ is one (he is most certainly NOT a "jew") is decended of Jacob/Israel. The White race are the Israelites who are God's children who are promised by God their father to inherit the earth. Why do you think every mongrel race wants to eliminate the White Christian race. You are Christian by race, whether you believe our bible/God or not.

Well of course rule from Brussels is no different than Westminster, and just like we have the Orange order and now see the coming blue order that holds this land hostage, plundering and killing it for nothing more but dead money, tho we lived in poverty “years ago” men and women could make a decent living and raise a family, and these men and women were gallant, holy and Champions of our land Now we’re all freezing in the streets unable to make a living or even warm ourself with stuff like turf but don’t worry the people who hold our chains will harm you for knowing what a man or woman is
