@@tacraling I wondered about the hikers back in WW2 but maybe hiking was banned as it wasn’t productive for the war effort 🤔

i never knew that!! they done the same in my town with a gun mounted at the beach front, green island on strangford lough was the most bombed island in the uk during ww2, least nobody was on it lol 😂

@@PonderingsofIrishPresbyterian theres a little wood i fish threw and when the americans where in my town as part of their training drills they like built fake german pillboxes and practiced storming them over the river, theres still some remains of it standing today, theres still the remains of an old observation tower near me they where heart feared of downpatrick gettin bombed so they watched up the straight towards the quoile esturary, i think free time was spent chasing the local girls 😂😂👍
