I've been up and down Route Irish a thousand times. Lost a few good men along the way and surprised I'm still alive. I shouldn't be. I have to tell you, this song makes the tears flow.

Ran route Irish many times. Each patrol out I knew might be the last. I miss my friends that were killed. Left a lot of myself in the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. Thanks for the song, cheers to the memories of the lost.

Just found this brother and let me tell you, listening to this at work on lunch wasn't a good idea. It carries the sentiment that I always hear from people that knew me before I went the first time that said I wasn't the same when I came home, that I had lost the happy go lucky attitude that I once had. If only they could see the things I've seen and done. I carry that with me everywhere I go and the rest of us do too. We lost a many good men and women on Route Irish and the hundreds of other Routes out there. Beautiful tune, brother. You did our fallen brethren a solid with this one. Appreciate you standing beside us all.
