I would also like to give thanks for a wee community centre I visited in the Mourne Mountains County Down. It is reputed to be on the site of an old “hedge school”. The tradition of learning carries on in the efforts of those who gather there to promote the Irish language,music and sense of community. Thank you.

Your topic of ‘Gratitude’ was so timely for Christmas. Thank you. I will re-watch this video, because I was distracted. After watching your YT channel in recent weeks, I realised today why I resonated with your facial features. I am 66yo and you look like a younger version of myself, albeit I no longer have the auburn hair colour and my eyes are hazel, but looking into your sparkling eyes and cheekbones and facial shape and I am looking into my own. In 1840, my forebears William DONNELLY and Mary KELLY arrived in Australia from King’s County and Queen’s County. So, far back, there may be a genetic link. Not what I expected to be responding and commenting on, nor what you expected either, I am sure. But I am ‘putting it out there’. Thank you, Kate.

I recently traced back my maternal ancestor Rachael McDowell McPheeter b. 1751 in Virginia to her grandmother Mary McDowell b. 1690, who was from Ulster, Monoghan County. It's nice to have something concrete like that.

My Mom who lives outside of Gort sent me this. Your voice is so calm. loving and peaceful, a reflection of the country and the beautiful people that live there.
