Well they certainly have boat handling skills and the rest seems to be cultural, try walking across a pedestrian crossing in Vietnam! They are though very calm and non-aggressive.

I think they have a very good skill set, frankly with decades of marine experience I look at how they manage loads and very difficult passages through the dam openings with admiration. In some countries the issues would be compliance rather than outcomes. It's obvious that in a country such as Vietnam getting the job done is the greatest priority. It's also clear there is a massive disparity between the modern boats and the financial power they have, and the smaller older traditional boats and the likely much smaller financial ability they can exercise. The small fishing and personal craft are of most interest to me really, the water people and their families have my utmost respect for their work and lifestyle. I think most of the larger boats we see are also the homes of the operators.

Nếu để ý sẽ thấy thời điểm mở cống trễ quá! Xuất cống nhìn phía xa thì xuôi dòng. Còn nhập cống trước mắt thì ngược dòng. Nếu như mở sớm hơn nửa tiếng thì cả hai phía xuôi/ngược đều tương đối dễ dàng, vì mức nước ít chênh lệch. Điều này chứng tỏ hệ thống đóng/mở tự động cửa cống, không hoàn chỉnh!? Còn nếu như mở cống TRỄ HƠN nửa giờ nữa, thì mực nước bên trong cống, chảy ra biển sẽ tương đối bình hoà, ngay tại cửa cống. Việc xuất/nhập đều ổn thỏa đôi đường.
