Thanks to modern technology, I came to know of Sheikh Ahmed Deedat. I was exposed to his teachings and humbled by it. So rich with knowledge and masha Allah, his memory was admirable. I learn alot from watching him and insyaallah my journey as a muslim will be more enlightened because of him. To watch Dr Zakir Naik taking after him gives me so much joy as he continues to build on what is already spectacular in my eyes and protects the wealth of knowledge through da'wah. Insyaallah may Dr Zakir Naik set up a da'wah school whilst you're here in Malaysia and insyaallah the tradition may stand the test of time. My third favourite da'wah scholar would be Sabeel Ahmed, so gentle in his approach and gives a well thought out answer. Hope Dr Zakir Naik can help brother Sabeel in whatever way insyaAllah. There are millions of scholars but our main sources are the Quran and Hadith and the 4 schools of fiqh of Imam Malik, Shafi'i, Abu Hanifa and Ahmad ibn Hanbal or 5 if you add Ibn Hazm. Just to simplify it everyone else is just a branch of these main sources.

Salamoualaykoum brothers and sisters. I just want to point out that among the living "scholars" that he mentioned are some misguided individuals like addedou and tarifi, they go against what the early scholars that dr naik mentioned teachings and they were refuted by modern scholars as well. If you want to know who to listen to, then please start by reading the early books of sunni scholars like Aussul sunnah of imam ahmad and charh sunnah of imam el-Barbahari, these books will give you a good foundation may allah bless you.

I already mentioned two in my comment "Aussul sunna of imam Ahmed" and " charh sunna of imam Al-Barbahari". You can read them without the explanation of the modern scholars first if you want but to understand them well, it's better to read the explanations. May allah bless you.

He mentioned the early scholars and scholars like Ibn Taymiyyah to take from, and mentioned those he, with his knowledge, thinks are good scholars. He mentioned Uthaymeen, al-Albani, Bin Baz, Jibreen etc., so why hate him so much? This is not how one should behave with regards to such a person...
