Gotta love the copy protection which forced you to lookup stuff in the physical manual.

I hated CP because it would send me to the game over screen.

Loved this game as a kid! This is the most deranged way I've ever seen someone complete a jigsaw puzzle.

i think he's brazillian... we usually just quit lobbies when we get brazillian players... they are either super nice/super rare... or just STUPID and rude... much like our american karens

35:20 I never questioned where it came from before, but I've heard this poem (only slightly altered) before. Some changes make no difference like "got up" or "began" but some change everything, like an officer can arrest dead people (it wouldn't stick, but he can do it) and other variations have him _shoot_ the two dead boys (which is also possible, albeit ineffective), so I like this version better. Anyhow, according to Google, it's so old that nobody knows the true origin, but I've left the version I heard (with *bold* indicating the differences from the one in this game) below for posterity. _One bright day, in the _*_dark_*_ of night,_ _Two dead boys _*_began_*_ to fight._ _Back to back, they faced each other,_ _Drew their swords and shot each other._ _A deaf policeman heard the noise,_ _He came and _*_killed_*_ those two dead boys._ _If you don’t believe this _*_lie_*_ is true,_ _Ask the blind man, he saw it too._

I got this game as a birthday present a few months before my family went on vacation to Jamaica. They had a "talent show" at the resort for young kids and I recited this poem solely from the memory of playing this game a few months prior. I still fire up 'Island of Dr. Brain' a few times a year, though I've noticed that some of the puzzles have gotten easier over the years, others, more difficult.

I loved these games. Can I get them for my current laptop?
@guillermomartinez36126 жыл бұрын
You can get it on old games webpages (abandonia, myabandonware...). I don't know if you can run it on a modern laptop but otherwise you can used an emulator like DOSBOX.

This game will run on SCUMMVM, which is better than dosbox for the limited number of games it supports (started with monkey island, but eventually began supporting more and more adventure games and educational type point and click games)

1:45 "Who would stoop this low?" Hmm maybe a disgruntled player from your first crazy game?

1:02:07 Former President George Washington died 193 years before this game was released, they were either "future proofing" it, or never bothered to look it up and just assumed it was probably over 200 years ago.
