Man this game is gorgeous It was actually intentional of the devs to add lots of places to drink that deinos can't reach. Especially because of all the spinosaurids planned on the roster that can actually chase you. No body of water is going to be safe, but they want there to be ones that aren't suitable for deinos, and they want deinos to be much harder to grow than they were in spiro Also you're the first Isle youtuber I've watched who actually likes the AI! (I like them too, everyone seems to hate them though?)

am I? how can somebody not love AI? it's fun, it's food and most important, it brings life to an isle which is way too big for just 100 players anyway. can't wait for other AI to follow. I loved utah AI in the stress test of update 4 and can't wait for it's return once different AI is spread all over the island, it will become way more interesting to go to areas which are nothing but empty now (80% of the map). about the shallow areas, I don't like them. spino will be added 2025-2026. until then we probably have a new map bary will come more soon, but, I don't expect it very soon either. so, to me the swamp design is a failure. so are the many safe drink spots (tiny ponds) all over the map. but, that's just my opinion

I agree about the AI! The criticisms appear to be that AI will never match the combat capability of players therefore they are useless (I do not agree because I too think they are essential for creating a world that feels alive) but they seem to be operating on combat being the main aim of the game. But the drinking spot thing is something I think is a good call in the long term, as uncomfy as it might be now, I "see the vision" so to speak, but I understand your side of the argument too @@da.mombie

I like the vision, but, we are speaking of 3-5 years until it becomes reality, so, to me it's very bad that we have these areas by now. specially 'cause they can adapt the map anytime. that isn't even much work and should have been done with the arrival of spino & co in my opinion. we will have 50+ dinos at the end with 100 players only. you won't meet much of your own species without AI. even more, you won't see some species at all. I played about 700 hours Legacy and only met 2 ceras during that time. Legacy didn't even have 50 dinos tho. also, if you make good AI, then it could be more challenging than 50% of the playerbase. if you want (which isn't funny anymore tho), you could make AI so strong that even nappn wouldn't stand a chance

I don't know enough about AI to comment on how well it can be made so I'm only repeating what complaints I heard from watching other Isle youtubers. That the AI will never be sophisticated enough to combat well and behave like an actual dinosaur etc. But like I said. I agree with you and I'm happy that at least one person I watch likes the AI lolol I certainly hope they don't make the AI that powerful though the AI Tenos will take over the island 😆@@da.mombie

​@@sugarandscenes1931 just think about it. in every single player game we play vs AI only. some are easy and some are really tough like dark souls. an even better example are beat em up games like street fighter. you fight the same AI opponents with different difficulty and so they are either easy or hard to beat. if they want they can give AI even an aimbot. give them twice or even endless stam and so on. there are many ways to make AI "viable" in combat. but, like you said, nobody wants that. would be boring if every AI is in a god-modus

thx mate ♥ that's the lake in the highlands. most easy to find if you spawn at the water access (the lake with the big dam) and go south/southwest. you should smell the water and get the symbol directly at that spawn point. EDIT: I just watched me raw footage. I didn't open the menu there, but, when I broke my leg. that was on the same lake and at the coordinates: Lat: -107, LONG: -33

You held them off at the end pretty well, but if you had replaced most of your kicks with tailslams then a kick I think you would have won. Kick has a really short range so you kept missing but they were in range of your tail. And you have way more patience than me with AI lol. Nice video.

thx mate ♥ yeah, me and teno. when I shall kick I slam and when I shall slam I kick. that's almost my trademark meanwhile ^^ I was hoping to become better with teno (until update 5 or so), but, meanwhile I accepted that, even if I love teno, I will never become a teno warrior anymore

@@da.mombie Yeah for KZbin and I think your preference is to play all the dinos. I have the luxury to concentrate on one dino at a time to get better with it. I played Utah a lot and have been playing nothing but teno for a few months. It does help to get better when you're not switching dinos every session. However, I'm glad you do switch. It makes better videos in my opinion.

@@ScottM436 there are many factors, but this is a huge one. every session I have to get used to the timing of the attack of another dino again. which I often didn't play for many weeks and will only play for about 4-6 hours. so, I don't have much combat and therefore less practice. it would help a lot to play one dino for a couple of weeks. but, the other huge part is my age. first of all my reaction time became so slow. you can't imagine what a difference it is to be 20 or above 40. even between my thirties and now is a huge difference. I had to stop counter strike 'cause of the reaction time only. I was never a pro CS player, but, still pretty good in my twenties. nowadays I am dead before I even see the opponent. it's brutal. luckily the isle doesn't depend THAT much on reaction time, as you often can anticipate. anyway, the good thing on getting old is, you become more relaxed. so, don't get me wrong, I won't complain about my age here. I am fine with it. the priorities change tho. I want to have fun and even if I still like to compete every now and then, I am not competitive anymore. when I was younger I played some games to the fullest. studied different tactics, combos or whatever to get better and better. today such "training" bores me. I just want to have a good time and don't care much about winning or losing anymore

I think that's why a lot of us watch your videos. Because it is more laid back. Everyone has their own way of playing and that doesn't bother me. I don't mind dying because trying to survive as a baby is fun. BTW I'm in my 40's too lol.

@@ScottM436 oh, are you? isn't it brutal? from the 30ths on I noticed it, but, since 40 it feels like the reaction gets worse with every year even more, 20 years ago I could handle 5-6 enemies. like this one is there, that there, I have to take care of the left one first, 'cause he is in best position to kill me and so on. everything in a split second. nowadays it's like, omg, 6, wait who is closest? jeez, are these even 6? no 5. wait what? how did I got hit? ^^

​​@@profilenotfound2525 it's realistic for herbis to travel in big herds. Big herd = protection. Just think about zebras or gnus. They also seek protection in big herds. Most carnis aren't pack animals like carno & cerato. They are like jaguars or cheetahs. Pack carnis are omnis & troodons and it's amazing to see huge packs of them. They are like hyenas.
