@da.mombie6 ай бұрын
I don't think so. omni is a dino you have to master to be really strong. people like nappn draw a very wrong picture of them. they are very skilled and you have to be. because omni is oneshot to a good teno player. 90% of omni players don't master it any close to nappn. like these mates. these are the average omni players. they weren't two new omni players. they were the typical omni players. I have 2500 in evrima only and just met nappn once. in total I may had 10 encounters with omnis of his level. everybody esle, average like those omnis. so, if another player of nappn's skill level plays teno, then nappn and his omni wouldn't stand a chance in a 1vs1. omni is nowhere near as strong as teno. other than one very skilled omni (nappn) vs an average teno (me). but, that's just the skill gap and has nothing to do with omni being strong imo.

Just a quick tip to think about just my opinion. At least right now in hoard you don’t want to tail slam when a cera is coming at you. They’re too quick and it provides them an opening to bite you. The kicking is quicker and more swift. When you stun it with the kick you can tail it before it escapes again. Also, resulting in less stamina lost. I barely use my tail slam anymore, unless I’m trying to get something that barley in my range or stop a carno from charging me. Other than that, I kick. It does more damage and bleed as well as less stam. There’s not really incentive to use the tail other than to stop carno charges. You had no problem dealing with the cera but there was a few hits on you that explained this exact scenario that I was referencing. ❤ even though it’s been a while since I’ve commented I love your videos and I’m always here watching😇

I finally came back yesterday and played. I played once in the morning and fought 3 raptors as a 60% teno. I killed 2 while the third ran. It was at the swamp, and then the reset happened, and I logged. During that 45 minutes of gameplay, the zone moved from where it was when I logged in and then again one more time. So, in 45 minutes, I had 3 different zones. They sped up the zones moving quite a bit. There was also no teleporting, and the game felt good, but there were only 89 people on. Then, I played again in the evening and was in a fight in Highlands, and it was unplayable-literally unplayable. There were 140 people with a long queue. The dilo was teleporting 20 feet at a time, and so was I. It's too bad because I love this game. I don't know how you get lucky and don't have these issues the vast majority of people have. Maybe it's whether the server is fully populated or not. It can't be my system either since I just upgraded to an Intel i9 14900KF with an RTX4090 and almost a Gig download speed. Is someone still saying omni is OP? I fought those 3 as a large sub-teno and wasn't nervous. Maybe if there was a whole pack of 8, but 2 to 3 vs a Teno isn't bad. Also, I haven't played them since Grapple, but isn't Grapple just both of them pounce simultaneously, or is there more to it that I'm missing?

I’ve been so entertained by your intolerance for “x or y playable is OP!!” in the last batch of videos. I personally agree with you, Evrima has such an issue with its player base freaking out - as if the world were ending - every time stats are tweaked. Someone is always upset no matter what happens. If we all know the stats are not permanent, and in fact will very likely be changed soon, why get so wound up? On top of that, it is almost never such a catastrophic stat change to where one playable has become truly OP. Most of what I’ve heard since the initial “grapple panic” is that even Omni mains are shying away from playing it since they die to lag so easily anyway. It is a very high skill level playable, anyone can be good or bad, which I think is fantastic.
@da.mombie6 ай бұрын
I couldn't agree more. I really don't get the panic about every meaningless stat change. they will change another 100 times and nobody will care in the end. like nobody cares anymore what stats any dino had in update 3, 4, 5 or 6. srsly, nobody cares anymore and yet the same story over and over. it really starts to drive me crazy. I have less and less sympathy for all the crybabies who always act like the whole game is broken, just because their main dino got nerfed. in general I don't even think the isle has a community anymore. feels more like 50 different groups with very different thoughts of how the game shall be and none of them accepts that there are other people who may have another opinion. everyone is like, I don't like it, so, the devs don't listen, because I AM THE COMMUNITY ^^

first of all I have to warn you. it is still alpha and will take many more years until it is ready. many bugs and server issues will be part of this game for many more years. you have to be aware what alpha means and that the development also offers setbacks in between. I show the highlights only and even if I also show bugs and crashes, I don't show them all in terms of numbers. the game is far from being ready. if you are aware of alpha and don't have problems with bugs and issues in between, then I can highly recommend it tho to your question, this depends on many things. if your blood is low, then you recover MUCH slower. your nutrient level also plays a part. it's a big difference between, sitting, standing and moving as well. the size plays a huge part, too. a dryo can be fully healed again withing 5-10 minutes and a stego can have to wait up to 30 or even more minutes.

I think the raptor op talk stems from the first month of horde testing when one raptor could grapple a carno to the ground. They've been slowly nerfing the raptor every week. I'm not 100 percent sure but I think even grapple has been broken and not working for the last five days. I think you've been lucky and missed the part where raptors where just infuriatingly strong. I play raptor a ton and while I don't think its super op right now I am able to solo things waaay too easy. You can almost pounce any angle with zero repercussions. I've died to lag related deaths more than anything else (besides those sneaky cliffs XD) but complaining is crucial part of hordetesting. Lets the devs get a feel for how the mechanics are doing.
@da.mombie6 ай бұрын
a single omni was able to grapple for about three days. they fixed that pretty quickly. since then you need two omnis and it is nowhere near to be OP imo. I play the horde test since day one. I played almost every dino meanwhile. but I didn't get grappled once. so yeah, I might be either very lucky or it isn't that big of a deal don't get me wrong. I ain't saying it isn't strong. it might be. but, the influence on the entire game is tiny. it only effects a few battles. like teno, carno, cera and maybe pachy. every other dino was small enough to get pinned by a single omni before or is big enough to still don't have to care. even within those few influenced fights, it's down to many factors. like skills, surroundings, numbers and also lag issues. so even in these few match ups only a few are really down to that mechanics. yet some people talk like the balance of the whole game is broken. I am so sick of all that made up drama. but honestly, maybe it's up to me. I really should ignore all these crybabies instead of letting them under my skin. @da.mombie6 ай бұрын
when did the remove grapple? and how does your sentence even make sense? why should people say it is OP when they removed it? sry mate, I know this game and it's community very well. it's full of crybabies who complain about meaningless stats within every update.
