My favorite group of all time. 1. Foot steps in the dark 2. Voyage to Atlantis 3. Harvest for the world 4. At your best 5. Here we go again Far too many to mention for this writing but believe me, their catalog of music has stood the test of time and is surely the soundtrack of my life. When I was a teen, I used to listen to Harvest For The World (1976) from these guys and I did enjoy it very much. Really unforgettable and a pity that one day good singers die. But the most important is that their good piece of listening arts remain playing over and over in people's minds and heart. The Highways of My Life (1974) is another wonderful song I will never forget because it was a hit during my teen golden years also.

LAMONT, you hit the nail on the head this time. I was just thinking about what happened to the greatest band of my time---The Isley's. Growing up in the 60's, 70's, and 80's, their songs were Anthems for my life. The jam "Livin in the life" is my favorite song of all time and helped form my outlook on life as a teenager in the late 70's and early 80's. "Gp for your Guns" album is my favorite album of all time. Thanks for giving the the shout out.

@@kellyrenee9679 You right Renee, "Fight the Power" song and album was one of my Anthem songs too, but for me, the "Go for your Guns" album hit me with sooo many hits on it: "The Pride", "Voyage to Atlantis", "Footsteps in the Dark", Climbin up the ladder", and of course the 12" 11 minutes long disco version of "Livin in the Life". This I feel was their "STATEMENT" album similar to Prince's "Controversy" album. You can't go wrong with any of the Isley's stuff though.

My favorite Isley Brothers song is "This Old Heart of Mine." I always think fondly of my childhood when hearing it. I remember my parents also playing "Shout" on the radio as well. When Rod Stewart released a redux of "This Old Heart of Mine," with Ron singing in tandem, was a glorious rebirth for modern-day audiences to learn about the Isley Brothers. Although Ronald has aged very well, he has had many legal troubles with the I.R.S. for tax evasion. Hopefully the worst has been resolved. I should point out that Rod Stewart did a marvelous job with that vocal, he lacked the natural flow of melody that Ron Isely possesses, Well done Lamont!

Thanks lamont . I was listening to their "Twist and Shout" because I wanted to listen to the great song the Beatles decided to cover and they loved it. Then this pops up. 💞🤘 Also one of the most hardest song to sing, they make it look easy. Lennon had 2 sessions after recording all day to sing this and there was a risk of his voice never being the same! He had " sand paper" feeling after doing this number and always saved it to the end x

I loved the music of the isley brothers. My favorite song was dancing in the life. And it's your thing. Jimi hendrix joined them.
