How wonderfull. We would hear sometimes, just a snippet of a tune on the radio. The inspiration to save every last cent, so we could run after school to the local record bar. Hand over the earth metal in circles, and someone that you think is cooler than you. Because they are not wearing a school uniform, and they work in a record bar. Gives you a round piece of black plastic of magic. I hope you danced to it the first time you played it 😍

The intro lead first with the instrumentals to this song starting with the drums and then the strings is tight!! Then Ronald ( Mr Biggs) Isley knocks it out of the park with his smooth voice singing those classic lyrics. They rarely make music and write lyrics like that today in 2024. IMO!! This song is one of my all time favorites by the talented Isley Bros. IMO, this song is a CLASSIC!! RIP to all of the Isley Bruhs who have passed. BTW, it was a smart move financially and creative wise for the group to leave Motown and get from under Berry Gordy and start their own T Neck label. Also, we have seen the results of that move from Motown many times over with their great music and songs. After all, why stay when Gordy was focused primarily/mainly on the tall, tan, and talented Motown Money Making Temptations. Again it was a good move by the Isleys Bros to roll out of Motown and take control of their music and utilize their creative talents which would not have flourished under Gordy and Motown. IMO!! Frfr!! 🗣♊️👤Rising
