KZbin auto-deletes my comments whenever I say that the discrimination against Russians due to the Ukraine war is wrong. Not surprising it auto-deletes comments related to an even touchier subject such as this. YT being owned by Google, an American company, it clearly is setup to censor comments that do not align with the American narrative, censorship in our country is carried out by these private corporations on behalf of the govt. It disgusts me how I can't even point out how it's wrong to discriminate against Russians based on what their gov. is doing, because the American narrative (since we are in NATO) is that Russia is evil.

This is such an amazingly well put together video. I so rarely see someone provide a balanced narrative and perspectives from actual people on the ground. I feel like you'll still upset people because you criticized both Hamas and the Israeli handling of the war/occupation, but I personally can't praise you enough!

Great video man showing the backstory of exactly why everything that has happened happened is crucial in conflicts especially with this one. I don’t know why many comments are claiming your antisemetic considering you pointed out the war crimes Israel has done (basically Israel did commit war crimes same with hamas but Jews and Palestinians who haven’t are the one who pay the price)

As an American, not surprised people are accusing you of anti-semitism purely because you don't take a hardline stance on the side of Israel. I apologize for how our media has brainwashed these people into spreading propaganda and ignorance. America is also trying to pass a bill that would outlaw protesting against Israel, something that flies in the face of our 1st Amendment right to free speech.

Hey Tieran, This is Avraham, the guy who hosted you for about a week in the Shomron. I have to say, I'm very disappointed with your anti-Israel bias in this video. 22:50: "and showed how normalized the occupation and blockade has become." You have fallen for the Hamas propaganda. In 2005 Israel (unfortunately) pulled all of its civilians and military presence out of Gaza. Subsequently hundreds of trucks daily would cross into Gaza. The trucks were screened so that military equipment wouldn't be smuggled in to use against Israel. I'm unclear as to why you call this "occupation and blockade". Calling it "the world's largest open air prison" is a clear sign that you've adapted the terminology of a terrorist organization. Rather unfortunate. 23:21: "While Israel has bomb shelters everywhere, Gaza doesn't so the damage and civilian casualty rate is much worse." Well why is that? The answer is simple. 1. Hamas planned to attack Israel for years, and rather than using concrete for building and infrastructure, they used it to build a terror tunnel network, hundreds of miles long. 2. Rather than using supplies to make Gazan's lives Israel, the "elected" government of Hamas chose to keep Gazans in poverty, while the Hamas leaders lived in luxury hotels in Qatar. 3. Rather than attempting a normalization with Israel, they radicalized the population to support terror. 4. As mentioned previously in your video, Hamas purposely fires rockets from populated areas. Why? because they don't care about the lives of their civilians. The opposite is true. They try to raise the civilian death toll as much as possible because it makes Israel look worse. I honestly thought you'd be able to see past the Hamas' lies rather than quote them.

Hi Avraham, To address your arguments; - I have been critical of Hamas in this video and I am under no illusions about what the group stands for or what it is. In the video I mention that some of Hamas’ leaders live in Qatar and are some of the wealthiest people on earth. I also point out it is a fundamentalist group and an authoritarian government, and that no elections have been held since Hamas came to power. - Both Israelis and Palestinians believe that the other side did not stick to the Oslo accords. While Israel did pull out of Gaza, it also continued settling the West Bank, blockaded the Gaza Strip, and the PM that signed the Oslo accords was assassinated by an Israeli who opposed the agreement. Hamas also opposed the peace process and carried out attacks during this time. - I call it a blockade because the international community and many human rights organisations call it a blockade. And it is restrictive enough that the UN still considers Israel to be an occupying power in Gaza. - As I said, I am not excusing anything that Hamas has done, including embedding itself in civilian area which is bound to put the lives of Gazans at risk. But when a nation’s military is conducting a war against an armed group in a densely populated civilian area, it is also up to that nation to minimise civilian casualties. Israel knows there are no bomb shelters, and yet it continues a bombing approach that has killed countless Palestinians. And even if there were bomb shelters, the payload of Israeli bombs would render them ineffective. - You can make the argument that some figures should be taken with a grain of salt, because it is Hamas that is publishing them, but we can all see the scale of destruction happening in Gaza; there are many, many videos and images circulating online of Palestinian civilians being killed, and even some of Israel’s own hostages shot by the IDF. As the governing body of Gaza, Hamas bears responsibility for its citizens safety and wellbeing as well but, as a powerful military invading Gaza, Israel is also responsible when its actions and munitions kill civilians. - Away from Gaza, I also have personally seen how Palestinians are often treated in Israel and the West Bank; I crossed checkpoints alone, with Israelis, and with Palestinians, and the difference in treatment from soldiers when I was with local Palestinians, or when I’d been seen with Palestinians, vs. when I was alone or crossing alongside Israelis, was quite shocking. A war resulting in such high civilian casualties, combined with this kind of treatment even outside of the war zone, only serves to radicalise more people and increase support for militant groups. I hope this clears up my perspective, which is drawn from both following the war closely in the news, and my personal experience cycling through this part of the world, not propaganda talking points.

Just to address your last point in your response to Abraham. (To begin off, I will mention that I'm a British Jew, who lives in Britain. I did spend half a decade in Israel in my early adulthood.) The reason why these checkpoints are there in the first place, are to protect Israelis - namely Jews, from Palestinian terrorism/violence (as some might prefer to call it). For that reason it's inevitable that Israelis (or Jews, me for example being British, not Israeli), would be brushed past these checkpoints, whilst Palestinians treated with suspicion. There are barely, if any, no go zones for Arabs, in the entire country, whilst there are vast areas with totally forbidden access to Israelis. In addition, there are even more areas, which are in reality no go zones for Jews - regardless of nationality, due to dangers of being attacked and/or lynched. I personally know of quite a few such instances firsthand, where Jews (not Israelis) came close to being killed for mistakenly entering the wrong areas. I myself experienced close calls to serious trouble, just for walking past Arab areas in Jerusalem.

@@TieranFreedman The open prison with an exit to Egypt, luxury houses, luxury cars, 500 miles of terror tunnels, tens of thousands of different types of Iranian, Russian and Chinese made weapons. Brother, you can do a better job of coverage... I just wonder if you were a soldier who fears that any moment a "Palestinian" citizen will stab him, you would also be nice to your enemy. The fact that Europe has decided that countries do not need borders and that is why the State of Israel must not maintain its sovereignty is madness because of which Europe is collapsing. Very soon they will start slaughtering Europeans by the thousands in Europe, maybe you will wake up and understand the reality of the real world and not the one that exists in Disney fairy tales... When you rely on the United UN NGO officials, you mean those who have passed more resolutions against Israel each year than the entire world combined.(total people living in the area 15 mil', the entrie world 8 bil'...) Or the Lebanese president of the ICJ that had during his career, made more than 200 decisions against Israel while serving as the ambassador of Lebanon, which is an enemy country of Israel? It's time for you to open a book and read about the Geneva Convention and what is the difference between attacking a civilian population, and a civilian population that is inside military installations.

I think I would find cycling along the Gaza border jarring before 2023 given the history of how Palestinians were concentrated there in the first place. Also I have seen some truly disturbing interviews with Irgun militia veterans recounting tales, with unconcealed glee, of their murderous rampage to clear Palestinian homes. Another point worth mentioning is that whatever backing Hamas has, it pales next to that of Israel. You would need several more episodes to document this, including the link between Sheldon Adelson in the US and Netanyahu. Otherwise I think your documentary provide valued cultural insights, but I'm afraid I cannot warm to the concept of Israel and Jewish supremacy - sorry!

You should watch some videos about Gaza before the war before calling it the biggest open prison in the world. Btw all imported and exported goods went inside and outside of Gaza after being checked no weaponry goes in. Israel supplies some water and electricity to Gaza cause otherwise they won't have enough of it. When Israel left Gaza it was a step towards peace. A year later Hamas took over the Gaza strip and we all know what was happening next. BTW in the recent time before October 7, 20,000 Gazan came into Israel everyday to work. The money that was transferred to Hamas allowed to keep the tension quite low. When money didn't go in Hamas started shooting missiles. Ben Gvir and Smutrich are just 2 ministers out of 63 coalition members and they are the most right wing extremist members. They do not represent the current government. BTW these 2 ministers are like holy angels compared to the average Palastinian point of view.

Thought this was an unbiased channel, guess not. Your videos are really good and it’s a shame because I just found you and liked your work. But this clear Anti-Israel bias is insane. You’re making Israel seem horrible as if their adversaries aren’t maniacs wanting to kill any and all Jews. They’ve been put in a tough position to deal with the Palestinians and Hamas at the same time. Israel has put forth more effort into protecting Palestinians than Hamas has. Hamas was sent pipes for water and waste management and instead of using them to build infrastructure they made them into rockets. 😂 I mean what more do you want these guys are horrible. Hamas treats the people like garbage, and the people still overwhelmingly support Hamas. But Israel is supposed to care more about Palestinians than Hamas does?? Which both hate Israel? Lastly, why are there no Jews in Gaza? But there are Palestinians in government positions in Israel? If the video wasn’t biased at all I would still have enjoyed it. But your false representations of the dynamics of the situation made me feel the need to say something.
