@Agilite this techniques work well in self defense situation where you’re caught by surprise like you’re house is breached by a home intruder. You reached for your AR but time wasn’t at your side and the intruder has reached close proximity to you so now you have a close combat situation. I’m learning a lot where I can apply this as a defender. Great work!

WHO'S WALKING AROUND WITH A RIFLE ON CITY STREETS OR THE SUBURBS?
@Dan-di9jd Жыл бұрын
You got to think outside the box for a second. The idea here is that your rifle is also a metal stick. A metal stick is a lot better than your bare fists. The concept here is that if you look past the intended function of the object, you'll see that it is an object that can also be used outside of its intended purpose. In this case, you have a rifle. Ideally you want to shoot bullets out of it, but in the sense of a life or death situation, it's not just something that shoots bullets but also an object that can be used. So that applies to everything in life. For example, in the city streets, maybe there are objects laying around that could be used? or even objects of your own that could be used such as a car key that could easily be put between your knuckles to create a fairly hard hitting object. It's a car key, with the intended use to start your car, but at the end of the day all it is just a hunk of metal that could be used as a item.@@tax905972

I have been wondering for the last 1.5+decades why so many countries have forgotten about the bayonet/bayonet fighting... sorry I am from "old school" i have always fixed my bayonet on my FN FAL/SLR (my 1st issued weapon), M16A1 (my 2nd issue) & Steyr AUG A1 (last weapon before I retired, the M16+Steyr AUG we are issued with the M7 bayonet. I will attached my bayonet at All times while i am on duty at the jungles, camp or suburbs day/night so I really cannot understand why most of you from 🇺🇸 to Europe are not doing that even in urban areas/MOUT. My father (WW2 🇬🇧 colonial military personnel) taught me the importance of the bayonet & bayonet fighting when I was a boy... anyone trying to grab your rifle, stick your bayonet into him/her. I like to comment that you are hitting/thrusting too high (head/face, upper torso), i always aim low going for the stomach/lower stomach/below the belt where the combat vests/plate carrier is not there besides that the exposed shoulders & thighs i can stab/slash with the bayonet...my favourite is aiming for the "manhood" no 6'3"/7' 2 legged gorilla going to argue with me if I rip it off him... besides that I carry a 7" blade fighting knife as backup; hope you are not offended by my 2¢ worth experience from an old school warrior ⚔️

I totally respect both you and Agilite, In watching the video I was thinking the exact same thoughts, why no bayonets? Plus your insights on striking low hitting below the "plates" and ripping the stomach area will eviscerate anyone, and attacking the "manhood" will almost instantly "debilitate" an attacking enemy...excellent from a voice of experience!

Great info. We seldom see these practical weapons use in the net... but this I guess, has been taught to soldiers and cops since the introduction of musketry? Now, I think it's quite valuable to bring it back to the top of mind. Particularly for those who have never served. But yes, not all encounters require the opposing party to be SHOT, even when they are not fully cooperating with you. Sometimes they just need a slight change in incentives to cooperate? I mean, having a rifle or shotgun on your hand does not mean the person in front of you has automaticaly to die (and dead people can't answer question... just saying).

@yakymua3 жыл бұрын
Muzzle strike should only be used as a very last resort. You’re guaranteed to break skin, and often makes the attacker angry. These moves do not subdue - and you must use grappling moves to disarm and control the attacker. All depends on your numbers can their numbers. If you are outnumbered the rail or butt on the throat buys you time and distance. Krav Maga or BJJ. Good video though.
