As much as I love Colourpop, a lot of their collabs are just the same shades as previous collabs in different packaging. For example, the three Nightmare Before Christmas lipsticks were almost exactly the same as three of their Disney Princess lipsticks from one of their Disney collections. I’d like to see them try to have more originality instead of putting out a new collection every week lol

HIlarious that they collab with a brand that has "only" $1,000 sweatshirts for an audience that usually (if they have the patience) waits until _their own favourite game is ON SALE_ to buy any packs... Now, the IKEA one in Sims 2? THAT was adorable and hecka useful, as the items in-game were often very affordable for starter Sims. Whenever I see that one plastic chair with the holes in the back, my brain goes "SIMS!!" _before_ it goes "Oh, right, that's a normal IKEA chair." :P SIMS MONOPOLY omg. Monopoly has custom versions for everything, already. EVERYTHING! So this would be perfect? Also, why can't we have proper sit-around-a-board games in the Sims, not just Jenga-like clones? Not a purely decorative pile o' board game boxes item, but actually playable ones. (also I want landlines back, dammit!) I want a fake-jewel clear plumbob pendant necklace. I'd wear that in public. :)

Here's my take: brand packs should be used for things gamedevs can't reasonably be expected to come up with themselves. The reason IKEA worked so well (and why I actually also like H&M!) is that the devs simply could not come up with better, more usable, more attractive furniture (or clothing) than brands which employ thousands of people to come up with the best possible products for these uses. Of course IKEA makes better furniture than the stuff EAxis devs could come up with in 2004! Of course H&M has better fashion sense than EAxis devs in 2004! It felt like they were "filling a gap" with those packs, so I love them. And, yes, as a current TS2 player, I couldn't live without IKEA.

The issue I have with doing a Target collaboration, is that is VERY American focused, as in they ONLY have stores in the USA. Which is probably why they've done collabs with MAC, IKEA and H&M as they are globally recognised as brands, not just in America.

Target was in Canada for a very brief time several years ago, taking over from Zellers, it was a great department store, but it never worked here, because they opened a lot of stores too quickly and there were some problems concerning their credit card service, I would love to shop at Target again, if they have an online shopping site for those of us living outside the U.S.

IKEA is a great suggestion to bring back. I think there are actually a few key items that would make it really fun. IKEA has those stuffed animals that go viral a bit on social media - the big DJUNGELSKOG bear, the BLÅHAJ shark - that would be so cute in Sims houses. They could also do the reverse and IKEA could sell a branded llama (or gnome!) plush to tie back into the Sims.

I really love how MAC had the audacity to say that palette was a "versatile pallette for everyone." That is a literal one or two look palette that would look ashy as hell on anyone of colour. Not to mention the in game shadow swatches are so atrociously ashy for any sim of colour that I have to really work with the shade changer. Thank you to the sims CC community for TRULY making versatile shadows for EVERY sim.

RE: Target audience. I'm 42 and I've been playing since 2000. I've grown up with the franchise. But I've been playing The Sims more than half my life now. It's in my DNA. I agree a huge chunk of the audience is much younger. Also H&M used to sell The Sims 2 collab in store and would loop the trailer on their displays. It really was an organic marriage of the two worlds

i think the sims would benefit most from having more kits focused around a hobby/skill because then it lends character to the player's sim. i wouldnt look twice at another brand collab kit, but i would definitely be interested in a sports focused kits, or a painting focused kit.

I love the Moschino stuff pack but I wished we got more. I was expecting a modeling/ fashion designer career where your designs could show up on random townies in-game with more NYC loft furniture and more of Moschino’s runway fashions. Also I will never understand why they didn’t have the in game t-shirt and hoodies be in Simlish instead of English, or maybe we make a new language all together to add to the lore of The Sims, like how English speaking people where shirts with Japanese on them even though we may not know what they say.

With the Sims X Monopoly you can get the monopoly figures as like statues/sculptures, posters. Also Life would be a fun collab. Just imagine like a Game Night Pack where there's Monopoly, Life, Apples to Apples, Clue, Guess Who, or even a regular card game. Imagine having a deck of cards and then there's 10-15 different games like Go-Fish, Old Maid, Spades, 3 to 13, Spoons, Poker, etc. (or even a solitaire solo game) and then it levels up logic or even a card game skill? There could be tournaments for card games and chess?! Your sim can be a master chess or poker player. Traits can be greedy, poker-face, loves/hates board games, game fanatic, competitive, and it can even be an aspiration to be a master chess/card player. Older sims can teach young sims and some card games aren't playable until you reach a certain skill level (i.e. Spades/Hearts, Poker, Up and Down the River). There's just a lot that can be done with something like that.

I had the Sims 2 ikea furniture CD (yes, I'm that old XD) and it was wonderfull, the furniture coordinated, had both simple and colourfull swatches, it was prized really low so starter houses were furnished in Ikea furniture (like real ones tbh) and all my sims kids hugged the heartshaped pillow when they were feeling bad (no unlike myself). I feel like a monopoly expansion or game pack would be really cool. (I know it sounds like wayyyyyyy to much, but hear me out) Instead of just getting a board game, what if that board game was the world. It would be really cool if when your sims played the game, they were transported into a new world, like in Realm of magic. You would get to basically play monopoly from that world, but it would be more interactive than the board game. You would play against (or as, depending on how it's designed) Bella Goth, Nancy/Geoffery Landgrab (doesn't matter which is in the pack), Eliza Pancakes, or Don Lothario. Each would have their own abilities. Bella would be able to transport around the board with a spaceship, Nancy/Geoffery would be able to extort others, Eliza could intimidate others because we all hate her, and Don would be able to make allies by flirting (all with special conditions to make it fair - Bella and Nancy/Geoffery would have less chances to use their abilities, as they are more powerful than Eliza's and Don's). You would than play normal monopoly, but instead of it being a board, it would a giant lot. Go would move and whichever Landgrab wasn't a player would be the banker. Here, it could be designed like Strangerville, and in the end you find out the banker is corrupt, and you go into some sort of final battle (not sure what this would look like), OR it could just be a normal game. There would be a lot more details, I'm just too lazy to figure them out rn. This would also work well as a real life board game, or a spinoff game (if it were a spinoff, there would have to be a LOT more) If u somehow made it through my slightly unhinged idea...I'm very impressed. Good job.

Ugh so many opportunities. A collab with a nail brand or something when they added nail polish would have been awesome. A collab with a home decor brand to have reasonably priced IRL home items and Sims items like a color changing plumbob lamp that you can change from green to red to yellow depending on your mood. Art prints from the Sims to go on your own walls (jazz playing cats or sad clown painting anyone?). A cowplant planter that moves like they did with the dancing groot toys. A collab with a toy maker to make some Sims toys like llamas or animals you make/buy in the game (Blarffy? Bearcula?) other items or keychains like Death's keychain. A collab with a clothing maker to make Britechester or Foxbury sweatshirts like you would for a real university. Same with hats, pendants, etc. A collab with a jewelry maker to make that darn eyeball ring. And also like...plumbob earrings, a ring, etc. But reasonably priced, not like $400 for a ring. As well as monopoly in game I'd love to see a "mini game" where you build on a monopoly board, but each build has its own challenges eg yellows having houses on them so you have a higher budget or water build is heavily water based, like you have to have 5 sinks or a swimming pool

I've been playing since the Sims 1, and I remember when the Ikea and H&M packs came out for the Sims 2 there was a lot of negative reactions. Mostly because they are so pedestrian. Honestly I really liked the H&M items and used them all the time but I guess if your game play style is more fantastical it just wouldn't appeal to you . My guess is then that collaborating with a brand like Moschino was their attempt to bring a much desired but largely unobtainable brand to players through gameplay. I do like the Moschino stuff packs build/buy items and I'm always restyling Nancy Landgrab into those pointy shoes. As much as I've enjoyed some of the brand collab items however I think as a whole the Sims Franchise has never really done a successful one that felt in line with the game and its style and that was popular with players. At this point I'm really wondering why its something they keep going back to. Its hard to believe they bring in more money than doing an inhouse pack but maybe i]m wrong.

I like the idea of a collab with a high end fashion brand like Moschino if the pack would come with actual Moschino pieces that are well known. That would be very cool to see in the sims since most of us will never have the money to buy actual Moschino so the only way to have these clothing pieces is through the sims. I was very excited about Moschino and was very disappointed with the clothes. It should have had original Moschino pieces that are popular. Just a thought.

I'd love furniture brand collabs as kits. Like how we had Ikea in Sims 2, I'd like to see, "West Elm Kit" or "Castlery kit" or "Article Kit", etc. The Sims has such a building-centric fan base, and a large number of people actively design and plan out spaces in the Sims for fun, it would be awesome if we could bring real furniture we can buy into the game. And yes, those are *definitely* more expensive brands, but end of the day, they are still obtainable when you consider how long and how much you will be using a couch (for example) from one of them.

Idk what year the sims 2 college living bundle came out (H&M, IKEA, and University) but an anniversary of that bundle would be really cool. Add some new majors to University or add online classes as a new game play mechanic, re introduce IKEA products possibly with IKEA hacks as part of the handiness skill, H&M could probably handle it well, but just doing a photo shoot with IKEA sets and plumbobs is already incredible, but many Sims 2 players have children, and H&M does sell baby clothes....a boolprop baby shirt, would be so cool! The MAC collab only good things is one blush (for some skinstones) and like two lipsticks. Moschino was a weird collab because I would have expected a model career, or a fashion designer (but I think that would makemore sense for a gamepack); also, I don't understand why they didn't include the hat that came with the pink jacket and skirt (the outfit took inspiration by the iconic pink outfit of Jackie Kennedy). Still it's not a bad stuff pack. And the Batuu collab was ridiculous, because if they did an amusement park game pack with a lot of Star wars theming it would have gone much better, without fusing the Star wars and sims universe (It would be funny if they did a new movie and sims were present as an alien, but I don't think that would happen).

I was thinking, while playing with an artist sim the other day, that it would be really nice to be able to rent studio/work space. I'm not sure that I really have a preference for how it would happen, I'd be fine with either renting straight-up lots or apartments or they could do a get to work type thing and make like a stand alone office building. I would want a variety of sizes and maybe wall-heights, maybe some restrictions/challenges would be fun (trying to write a new song when your studio is on a 'quiet space' floor, idk). If it's too difficult to find an fashion brand which is ethic and respectful of the workers, the planet, the local economy, etc... why don't they give us ...sewing machines... to actually DO our clothes..?! Like, this so simple, you put an Artisanal Game Pack with : _ obviously sewing machines _ a career for real fashion designer and sewer (it would be great to add it to the get famous gameplay in the movie creation ! I would LOVE more IRL merch for sims! I've been wanting that for a long time. Granted I'm almost 28, I've been playing for a minute. Imagine the reach they'd have if they sold their merch in Hot Topic or Spencer's! Blankets, water bottles, key chains, car decals, funko pops is a great one (I personally collect the mystery minis), the in game posters being real posters, phone cases, plumbob lamps and the character plushies like you have of pietro!
