Took me far to long to catch this series and it's short lived so you can marathon the entire series in a weekend or less without any issues. Absolutely beautifully crafted characters and writing. The out-takes are fun too. I really hope everyone was having so much fun on set making this programme.

The next ep, s3 e4, The Speech, is the best ep of s3 & one of the best overall. It's been removed from C4's website & the network never broadcast it - because of its negative portrayal of a trans character.

Classic episode, The Speech. The second highest rated episode on IMDb and easily one of the best of the entire show. It's sad that we now live in a world where television shows can be retroactively cancelled because they don't align with current day political correctness. I mean, I loved that episode personally. And many people do. But to decide that it should no longer be seen because some people now find it offensive is ridiculous. If you find something offensive, just don't watch it. It's not even a recent television series for goodness sake. It's from the 00's. Nothing in the episode is inconsistent with Douglas Reynholm's character portrayal, nor does it make any statements about transsexuals. It's just a story that happens to involve a character that is trans. People get upset that said character is portrayed in a humorous way, but it's a comedy at the end of the day. If certain people are exempt from being the butt of a joke, then you're not really for equality. You're for special treatment. And that's a glaring hypocrisy.

Seriously? By doing that they're saying that a trans character can't be seen to be negative in any way. Which means terribly unrealistic writing in future projects featuring trans characters.
