It wasn't made by Rockstar, only published by them in the US. It was developed by Pixelogic (who have no Wikipedia page and were only ever associated with this game, also they don't develop Games anymore from what it looks like) and Published by SCi Games in Europe. Also the Game wasn't all that great.. the Driving was finicky and the Hitboxes were crazy

Italian Job in an hour, this game took me months to complete as a kid! Mostly because it kept freezing at the end of missions lol

Always froze! One time it didn't save any of the missions, had to do it all over again

This story mode in THE ITALIAN JOB only need 3 hours and 55 minutes to clear it.

Look up comedy series ' stellar street ' you'll actually see Cornwell play as the main character Michael Caine but give him ginger hair as a crossover joke at the expense of Chris Evans

I still remember the first time I played this game, I was with my cousin. This game is one of my favorite, driving with those cars was really fun, with that funny music and all. Wish the it was longer, but is based on the movie, and it's definitely better than the movie remake! My favorite mission is The Getaway. Swapping games between Gran Turismo 2, Driver, RE3, SF2 and this game was one of the best moments as a young player. Today games are just nothing to me. Thanks for the video!

Я прямо провалился в воспоминания из детства, Playstation 1, на дворе какой то 2001-2002 год, и я пытаюсь пройти эту игру, но даётся это с трудом. С удовольствием посмотрел прохождение, спасибо. Ведь я так и не смог её пройти.😂

Love this game so much ❤ Almost got confused between this PS1 version with the PS2 version when I was little. Turn out, there were 2 movies that had the same name.

Its a shame there's no way to get the PC version working on a modern computer or with any kind of mods. Every level is its own separate .exe. Thank you for the video, its always nice to see childhood nostalgia in somewhat better quality.

There's a software I use called Daemon Lite, you can essentially virtually mount this game using it. Got it in HD running perfectly on Windows 11 Pro.

Honestly, PS1 games hold up well when upscaled in an emulator. Better than N64 games I think. I am obsessed with seeing how my favorite childhood games look in FHD.

The Italian Job, for a 22 year old game on PlayStation 1, surprisingly plays amazingly and less punishing than DRIVER 1. (Especially with the dreaded tutorial and final levels in Driver 1 that needed BILLIONS of attempts to finish it)

The reason this game had a lot of difficulty was because of the touchy steering input. You can't comfortably driving in the exact direction that you wanna go, you have to be really careful and give it 100% of your attention at all times. If it had the driving physics of say gta 3 or san andreas, you could breeze through the game a lot more easily.

Runs pretty smooth on an emulator, I remember the PAL version and it was quite jittery on actual hardware.

I've already tried it mate, both emulator looks the same (on maximum settings) BUT BeetleHW is much more stable n smoother (no random lag spikes). 😀👍

@@xTimelessGaming great, thx, ill give it a try then, so far i was lucky with duckstation every game was stable playing it on this, except colin mcrae rally 2 which froze, but i dont know maybe its somethign with the emu, still quite in development, u cant get wonders just with a snap of a finger, it needs more time to get more stable i guess. Will try that beetle core, on my phone it wasnt a pleasant experience very blocky graphics, but this might be different :), if not ill stay with duck, for me so far its stable enough, played 4 games and only one is acting up a bit, but not enough to quit on duck. Thx for the info on beetle. bye. Like ur videos, many times through those i found out about games i didnt knwo existed :)
