He's the Prince of Pop. Elvis is the King of Rock and Roll because he invented Rock and Roll by being the first to combine "Black" music and "White" music. Michael Jackson was an extremely talented performer, but he didn't "create" Pop music. That is why he shouldn't be put on the same level as Elvis

Getting vitiligo after growing up in the 70's will do some crazy shit to you. Having a disease that basically takes away the pride and dignity of your race, while basically turning your skin into the color of the race that's been discriminating against you all your life, and on top of that, no one believes you, you don't end up in a good place. No wonder he turned to plastic surgery, everyone was telling him he was faking it, he ended up just doing it anyways because they already didn't believe him.

Terra Estrahl True. I feel so bad for MJ that I just want to give him a hug if he were still alive. I remember him saying through a phone conversation with a friend (that was secretly recorded) that he worse those glasses at the award show because he didn’t want the media and the people looking into his eyes for he felt like they were looking right into his soul and he didn’t like that. I feel like he was tortured and sad deep inside. He always said that he felt alone and that those people around him were really his friends. What he had with them was just a professional level kind of relationship. He just wanted real friendship and a family. I think his emotional struggle was a result of his upbringing courtesy of his father and that he became a huge star at such a young age he wasn’t able to enjoy the life of being a kid. As a kid, he constantly surround himself with adults as a nature of his craft.

To be fair, Michael Jackson was truly one of the most talented performers ever. It's too bad that his demons got him (the way he was raised and the atmosphere around him growing up). Michael was a musical genius. he didn't even need to play an instrument, his instrument was his voice and his dance moves. I miss Michael so much, but he's in a much better place than this earth, and he is with us in his music, videos, his children and his legacy. Happy 60th Birthday Michael Joseph Jackson 🎂🙏❤👑👑👑👑
