Having a disease that basically takes away the pride and dignity of your race, while basically turning your skin into the color of the race that's been discriminating against you all your life, and on top of that, no one believes you, you don't end up in a good place. No wonder he turned to plastic surgery, everyone was telling him he was faking it, he ended up just doing it anyways because they already didn't believe him.

Terra Estrahl True. I feel so bad for MJ that I just want to give him a hug if he were still alive. I remember him saying through a phone conversation with a friend (that was secretly recorded) that he worse those glasses at the award show because he didn’t want the media and the people looking into his eyes for he felt like they were looking right into his soul and he didn’t like that. I feel like he was tortured and sad deep inside. He always said that he felt alone and that those people around him were really his friends. What he had with them was just a professional level kind of relationship. He just wanted real friendship and a family. I think his emotional struggle was a result of his upbringing courtesy of his father and that he became a huge star at such a young age he wasn’t able to enjoy the life of being a kid. As a kid, he constantly surround himself with adults as a nature of his craft.

@@marleymarsss Of course not. I'm making an observation about this one. Many have mentioned how Michael's quiet voice came alive when he started singing... which he didn't. To be fair, Michael Jackson was truly one of the most talented performers ever. It's too bad that his demons got him (the way he was raised and the atmosphere around him growing up). I believe he was a gentle soul who did no intentional harm to anyone. May he rest in Peace.
