I totally agree. But check out that Phiily sound...Motown producers had recorded that Philly sound on three of the Jackson 5 Albums. (Particularly Thr Delphonics)...The J5's first album "Can you remember"...The second album, "La LA means I love you" The Third album, " Ready or not" So give credit to those beautiful string arrangements that came out of Philadelphia...

@mcclendonreport3 жыл бұрын
@@idonteperfect6943 The J5 wasn't disco. And what the Jackson 5 had over later young artists was real live talent. They sang their own harmony and Jermaine and Tito played live in their world tours. I witnessed this first hand. No extra background singers, no grown-man guitarists, no choreographed extra dancers. Just 5 kids with two sidemen (Johnny and Roderick) producing all of that live sound. Some of us appreciate that.

RockyALLpurpose, well said, the JACKSON 5, NOT JUST MICHAEL JACKSON. reading most of these people's comments on Jackson 5 songs, you'd think Micheal Jackson was doing everything all by himself. Um, what about his brothers? What about those super bad musicians? The production? The arrangements? Jackson 5 songs are not Michael Jackson songs as a SOLO artist.

It is terrible to waste this space on anyone who would dare to choose "dislike" for this clip, but it's a free country for ignorant ones too I guess. I am so grateful & thankful to be a kid of the 70s and to listen to this brilliant song with the same love for it as back then. Those amazing voices, the driving force of The Funk Bros, and also that flute near the end. I wish I knew who's excellent idea is was to include it there, but it definitely captures the sound of that time in music. J-5 forever!!!!!
